The Spontaneous Thought of a Falun Dafa Practitioner Plays a Decisive Role

(Clearwisdom.net) During cultivation, all practitioners' thoughts contain energy and in saving sentient beings, they play a decisive role. Regarding this, I have several experiences to share with you.

One day I was on a public bus and I thought that everyday I get off the bus at the same stop next to my school and I did not know what the next bus stop would look like. Surprisingly, the driver just then forgot to stop at my stop, which was a major stop, and continued to drive forward. A lot of people requested him to stop and he realized that he had missed it. From this, I could see what a great impact a practitioner's single thought could have on everyday people.

Recently, in doing homework, my teacher said that we could gather information from the Internet and I thought that I must do it well. Thereafter, I browsed the Internet and looked up the reference books that I needed. Although I really spent a lot of time doing this, I finally found the related websites and did very well in my assignment. However, as for my scientific research, it seemed that I had no interest at all and always thought that I was not as good as others in this aspect. As a result, I had little progress even after a long period of time. Looking at the issue now, I could see that if I did not want to do something, there would never be any result. Good or evil comes from a person's spontaneous thought. My thoughts at that time were not righteous so they brought me bad consequences.

One day, my laptop computer suddenly shut down automatically and I could not start it. Worse still, it had passed the warranty period, and I was very much worried. I asked around and my fellow students all said that there was something wrong with the motherboard and would be very expensive to have it repaired. I went to the school to ask for a checkup and they did not want to repair it for me since it had already passed the warranty period. They advised me to buy a new one, so I calmed down later on and realized that this laptop was my Fa-implement and I used it to rectify the Fa. How could it be out of order all of a sudden? I vowed that I would use this laptop to rectify the Fa. It was said to be unrepairable and I also had a desktop computer that I could use, so I stopped worrying about it. Two days later, one of my classmates called me and said that he had found the problem with my computer. It turned out that the charger was faulty. Since I had recently replaced the charger, I did not think that it was the charger again. If I had no righteous thoughts, I really might not have been able to use it again and perhaps it would really be unusable.

On another occasion, I planned to invite a friend to see the Chinese New Year Spectacular. I bought the ticket and gave it to him as a Christmas gift. He was a bit reluctant to accept the ticket and later on, returned it to me. Finally, I gave the ticket to another student. Later, when I looked inward, I found that I had an attachment to inviting friends to the show. As for the first student, I had a favorable impression of him and I hoped that it would be a good opportunity to entertain him. What's more, he was sick and had an operation, so I thought that the performance might do him good in his recovery and also pave the way for him to come into contact with Falun Dafa later on. I used the show to reach my own purposes but forgot that the sacred mission of the Spectacular show is to save people. When we invite people to come to see the show we mean to save them, not entertain them, or cure their illnesses. Since my thinking was not righteous at the time, it hindered my ability to save sentient beings. This was the result of the old forces' excuses to make trouble for us.

During the process of selling the tickets to the shows by the Divine Performing Arts, how many thoughts of mine were righteous? As a matter of fact, I had a lot of thoughts that were unrighteous. As for the promotion of ticket sales in New York, I thought that I was unable to go and it was beyond my reach. As for the local areas, I tried to do whatever I could. I was very busy during this period of time and felt very tired and when the show was over, I felt very much relieved. I thought, now New York needs help so what can I do? Since I had these negative thoughts, the old forces had excuses to create obstacles for us. If we really understand that the performance by the Divine Performing Arts is an aspect of Fa-rectification to save the sentient beings, we would do it from our own initiative and as a result, the evil factors would be totally eliminated.

Teacher said,

"As I've said, everything that happens today in the ordinary society is the result of Dafa disciples' thoughts. Even though the old forces do exist, if you don't have those thoughts they can't do anything. " ("Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A." )

Cultivation is about cultivating our hearts. A lot of the time, we overlook our thoughts and think that they are normal. However, if we look inward, we will find that they are not in line with the Fa and contain attachments that we need to let go of. If you can actually do it, you will indeed find: "After passing the shady willow trees, there will be bright flowers and another village ahead!"

As a matter of fact, whether something can or can not be done all depends on one thought.
