Believing in Master and the Fa on Our Path of Fa-Rectification Cultivation

(Clearwisdom.net) I am 63 years old, and I obtained the Fa in 1996. I went to Beijing to appeal for Dafa and was illegally sentenced to one year of forced labor. I later went astray due to the attachment of affection for my family. However, I kept my mind unmoved while facing the ensuing evil interference, and consequently my family members changed their attitude toward Dafa.

In 1999, the CCP regime launched the campaign to eradicate Falun Gong, and many people were scared by it. I thought about how to do better in clarifying the truth to the public. Master said in "Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Boston",

"The old forces don't dare to oppose our clarifying the truth or saving sentient beings. What's key is to not let them take advantage of the gaps in your state of mind when you do things."

I recognized that doing the exercises and reading the Fa publicly is a way to help people understand the facts about Falun Gong. I went to some public places, especially city parks, to do the exercises and read the Fa aloud. Some passersby stopped and asked what I was doing, and I would then take the opportunity to clarify the truth to them. Some of them were plainclothes police officers, but I did not encounter any trouble from them.

At the end of 2004, after a local practitioner was arrested, a policeman followed me. He took pictures of me and called three additional officers to the scene. After a while, a crowd gathered around us. I was not afraid of the police and treated the situation as a good opportunity to clarify the truth. Later, the police left without arresting me, as the crowd voiced their support for me.

In order to help cover some areas that lacked practitioners to clarify the truth, I decided to distribute informational materials in rural areas. Because of the rise in crime, I thought that it would arouse more suspicion and attention if I tried to do it at night. Instead, I decided to go out during the day to pass out materials door to door. Sometimes, I clarified the truth to people that I ran into. Some people were very glad to accept the materials, but sometimes I ran into interference. One day, a boy commanded his dog to attack me. I said to the dog in my heart, "All sentient beings came to earth for the Fa, so do not do evil." The dog indeed stopped just in front of me.

I visited many schools in rural areas. As a result, lots of teachers and students understood the truth, and some of them even quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. I went to eight townships in three months and distributed about 9,000 fliers. With Master's kind care and my fellow practitioners' righteous thoughts, I came home safely every time.

In 2005, the local 610 Office arrested a Dafa practitioner in each district, including me. They took us to the brainwashing center, where we held a hunger strike to protest the illegal persecution. We sent forth strong righteous thought to suppress the evil. I did not cooperate with the police and insisted on doing the exercises, reciting the Fa, and clarifying the truth. The police chief knew that they could not make me turn against Dafa, so they sent me to the notorious Sanshui Brainwashing Center. On the way there, I clarified the truth to the escorting officers. Two hours later, I was released. One of the staff members there said to me, "We've got to let you go. I don't want to be responsible for doing this to you."

In 2007, I was reported to the police when I clarified the truth near a government building and a commercial center. I was taken to the police station, with my right hand in handcuffs. I sat in a chair and sent forth righteous thoughts with my left hand. I then told them the facts about Falun Gong, and some of the police officers said that my words made sense. At 9 p.m., I was transferred to the detention center, where I did the exercises at 3 a.m. and sent righteous thoughts every hour during the day. I also wrote down Master's poems from Hongyin on the blackboards at night. Some detainees followed me in doing the exercises, and some recited the words, "Falun Dafa is good." Some event wanted to become practitioners. During the police interrogation, I clarified the truth to them, and some of them changed their attitudes towards Dafa. Later, I was sent to the Sanshui Forced Labor Camp with a two and a half year sentence. However, I stayed in the camp for only one night, and after that I was taken back to the detention center again. With help from my fellow practitioners' righteous thoughts, I was released after three months and four days.

Looking back at my cultivation path, I know that I have lots of deficiencies still, but I will intensify my Fa study and work well with my fellow practitioners to help save more sentient beings.
