Writing Letters to Spread the Truth

(Clearwisdom.net) Hello Honorable Master! Hello Fellow Practitioners around the World! Master said, "Don't overlook any of the things that Dafa disciples do. Your every
word, every flyer, every keystroke, every telephone call, and every letter is
having a huge impact. Beings that have come to understand the facts become
mobile media, and they too clarify the facts. It's had a big impact on
society." ("Teaching the Fa at the 2003 Midwest-U.S. Fa
Conference") We have been clarifying the truth through letters for more than
five years. I'd like to share our experiences here. Please point out anything
that is not appropriate, 1. Take the Fa as the Master, Cooperate as a Whole Body and Save Sentient
Beings In November of 2003, Master commented on a practitioner's article,
"Expose the Evil Happening Locally to the Local People"on the Minghui
website (the Chinese version of Clearwisdom). I was inspired, and I thought that
I should also start writing truth-clarification letters and mailing them to
government agencies or companies where practitioners were being persecuted and
to the high-level officials. All these specific sentient beings need to be
saved, such as the officials at the 610 Office at different levels,
the officials working at political law committees, police departments, the
judicial department and public security department, the prisons, brainwashing
classes, police stations, residential committees, and officials at all levels,
such as governors, mayors, directors, chiefs, school/college directors, etc. These "special" sentient beings have a hard time understanding the
truth since they have been poisoned by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)
culture's lies. We normally do not go to their work or social places, and it
would be difficult to tell them the facts in person. However, we felt that we
had to save them. When we clarified the truth at their offices or any public
place, even if they wanted to listen, they had to look around and would not dare
to listen. Rather, they would drive you out instead or even report you to the
authorities. However, if they received a truth-clarification letter, or a letter
persuading them to quit the CCP and telling them how, they could do it at home. In December of 2003, I started to write truth-clarification letters. The
feedback was good. At our group study, we discussed this. If only one person did
it, the impact was very limited. Only through group cooperation, would the Fa's
mighty power be manifested and more sentient beings saved. After 2005,
practitioners from two Fa study groups participated in this project.
We all treasured this opportunity to walk our cultivation paths well. We
actively cooperated with each other, and some addressed the envelopes, some
purchased the stamps, some searched for contact information, and most
practitioners mailed the letters. On the surface, it looked like a simple and
easy job, but we were cultivating during the Fa-rectification. Every
practitioner was contributing and cultivating themselves at some point in time. For example, in the beginning, I wrote the letters by hand. It was time
consuming and the content was not sufficient. I had to look for the information
myself. Later, other practitioners came to help. They found true retribution
stories in our city and the pictures that went with the stories. The letters
became better with more accurate information. Each letter could touch a person's
heart. Mailing the letters was also risky. Since we mailed out a lot of letters,
a practitioner needed to buy many postage stamps. The state security agents had
connections in the post offices. This was also directly targeting one's
attachment of fear. We had to send the letters from different locations, and
sometimes we had to walk a long distance to send out one letter. Several years
passed, and we persisted in doing the job, no matter whether it was Spring,
Summer, Fall, or Winter. All of us worked as a whole body, and none of us had
any complaints. 2. Sending Truth-Clarification Letters to Where the Persecution is Happening Ours is a big city with several districts. There are practitioners in each
district participating in mailing truth-clarification letters. The letters go to
officials at different levels in the whole country. If they believe the words in
the letter, if only just one sentence, the words can shake their conscience and
eliminate the evil and demons in other dimensions. Once we heard about
practitioners being arrested, we would send the letters to the perpetrators. The
letters all had the real persons' names and addresses and therefore should be
received. In 2006, the Beijing Normal University Publishing Company published some
elementary school textbooks with content defaming Dafa. Since then, we have been
mailing letters every month to the nine main officers of the publishing company,
including the chief editor and deputy chief editor. Some school organized their
students to sign their names on materials that defamed Dafa, so we sent out
letters to the principles and the teachers every month to call on their
conscience until they stopped those activities. 3. Clarifying the Truth Through Letters is Really Efficient Master said, "As a person with genuine gong and energy, you do not need
to give it off intentionally; you will leave energy on whatever you touch, and
it will all be shining brightly." (Zhuan Falun) When we
mailed out the truth-clarification letters with pure hearts, and they carried
strong energy and benefited the addressees. As long as people read the letters,
the bad things in their minds would be eliminated. A 610 Office director had been actively participating in the persecution of
practitioners since 2000. He had ordered the injection of harmful drugs into
practitioners and lacing of practitioners' meals with harmful drugs as well.
Afterwards, practitioners felt so much pain in their heart, intestines, or
stomach that they were rolling on the ground. I had experienced that myself. We
wrote over a dozen letters to him to try to bring back his conscience, one
letter each month. Sometime later, his wife and he divorced and other bad things
kept happening in his family. Then, he associated these things with the
consequences that the letters mentioned. After that, he did not dare to
persecute practitioners so viciously. In 2004, a senior official at a Procuratorate started to receive
one truth-clarification letter every month. After reading the letters, his
attitude towards practitioners changed dramatically! He questioned why those
good people were being sent to prisons or labor camps. He said that he no longer
wants to do such things that make him lose virtue. When any instructions or
assignments from the CCP came, he would find excuses not to do them. He even
secretly found practitioners to ask for a copy of Zhuan Falun to read. After one chief judge read the truth-clarification letter, he was no longer
willing to do evil things against practitioners. One day, when it was his turn
to hold a trial on a practitioner's case, he found an excuse to go to the
restroom. When he came back, the trial had ended without any conclusion. After a director of a city police department read the truth-clarification
letter, he stopped participating in the persecution. He said, "These Falun
Gong practitioners are all kind, they don't hit back when hit or yell back when
yelled at. They only want to hold on to their beliefs. I am really not cruel
enough to continue to treat them unfairly like this. I received the letters
every month, and I read them all. I am not cruel enough to do that! Much of the
letters touched me, and the words between the lines shook my conscience! As long
as I am in this position, I will do my best to protect practitioners and treat
them kindly!"He added, "During the past few years, the rate of police
officers' sudden death has increased constantly, and the authorities claimed
that they died diligently at their duty in the newspaper. I understand that they
actually died as retribution for their participation in the persecution of Falun
Gong!" 4. People Protect Practitioners After Understanding Truth People fear the CCP because of previous political movements. However, after
they have understood the truth, they have started to secretly protect
practitioners. I have experienced this twice. Some police officers had
participated in the persecution before, but after they read the
truth-clarification letters, they started to be condemned by their consciences.
After understanding the principle of karmic retribution, some no longer wanted
to do dishonorable things, and some became good people and tried to make up for
their mistakes with good deeds. There have been many of these examples. Many directors of police stations, after reading the truth-clarification
letters, have no longer been willing to persecute practitioners. When
higher-level authorities ask them to arrest practitioners, they immediately
refuse. One time, a director said to them, "They [the practitioners] are
residents of our area of administration. They have elderly people or children at
home, and some families also have people with serious illnesses; we must be
responsible for our residents." The higher-level director left, ashamed. One practitioner's son-in-law works at a police station but he was poisoned
by the CCP and did not want to listen to the truth. He did not allow this
practitioner to do truth-clarification work. After I found his name and address,
I started to send him a letter every month. A half year later, I ran into this
practitioner at the supermarket, and she happily told me, "He has received
all the letters you have sent him. Now, not only does he understand the truth,
he has also passed the letters to a colleague. That police officer has withdrawn
from the CCP." One day in April of 2006, a police officer arrested a
practitioner and sent the practitioner to his police station. Her son-in-law
happened to be on duty at the time. He said to the practitioner, "It's 2:00
a.m. already, go home and be careful from now on!" 5. Spreading the Truth to Save Sentient Beijing Until the Fa-Rectification
Reaches Human World Master said: "With righteous thoughts, save the world's people. I just
don't believe their consciences are irretrievably lost."("For the Good
of the World") Saving sentient beings is very urgent, and although we have been doing it for
a while, we still need to spread the truth to more places. Therefore, I
collected all the government address data, including provinces, cities,
counties, towns, hospitals, universities, colleges, institutes, the judicial and
public security agencies, jails, labor camps, detention centers, and
brainwashing centers. The data included the address, the zip code, and the names
of main people in charge. Altogether, I collected more than 2,000 addresses and
sent them to the Minghui website. During the past five years of writing letters, my attachments to human
notions and fear were exposed. I was afraid that the evil might destroy the
letters, recognize my handwriting, etc. Those were all my human notions and
attachments. Master said,"Even though the old forces do exist, if you don't
have those thoughts they can't do anything. When your righteous thoughts are
strong enough the old forces can't do a thing." ("Teaching the Fa at
the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A.") Master said, "The paths of cultivation are varied but none is outside
the Great Law"("Unimpeded", Hong Yin II)
We will continue to do what we are doing and spread the truth to save sentient
beings until the Fa-rectification reaches the human world. October 23, 2008
