Additional Persecution News from China - November 27, 2008 (30 Reports)
(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of
persecution that took place in 22 cities or counties in 11 provinces. In this
report, 20 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention,
and at least 15 practitioners were illegally arrested. 1. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Sun Lihua Taken into Custody At noon on November 24, 2008, Ms. Sun Lihua in the Shikuang residential
community in Ganjingzi District, Dalian City, was taken into custody by
officials with the local Jiaojinshan Police Station and Internet Administration
Department of the Dalian City Police Department. The police searched Ms. Sun's
home and confiscated Falun Dafa books, a portrait of Master, a computer, and
materials exposing the persecution. The police took her to the Qianshan Road
Detention Center the same night. 2. [Jining City, Shandong Province] Ms. Peng Jie and Ms. Yan Jinlan Taken
into Custody At around 6:00 p.m. on November 15, Wang Fei and a dozen other officers from
the Zhongqu Police Department in Jining City broke into the residence of Ms.
Peng Jie, in her 60s, and Ms. Yan Jinlan, in her 50s, and took them into
custody. Ms. Peng and Ms. Yan are being held at the Jining City Detention
Center. According to eyewitnesses, when the police broke in and took possession of
their personal property, Ms. Yan's husband suffered a heart ailment and became
bedridden. The police subsequently called in professional locksmiths to open the
warehouse of Ms. Yan's family and took away a large number of items. The police
then ordered the locksmiths to open the door to Ms. Peng's home, which is next
door. The police took Ms. Peng into custody. 3. [Liaoning Province] Persecution Cases in Yi County Since the persecution by Jiang's regime started in 1999, three young
practitioners in Yi County have died from abuse. They are: Mr. Xiao Peng, a
veterinarian in Jiudaoling Town in Yi County; Mr. Zuo Zhongyou, a high school
teacher at the Dayushubao Town in Yi County; and Mr. Shi Changlin, a resident in
Chengguan Township, Yi County. Mr. Sun Linghua, formerly a judge of the Yi County Court, has been
illegally sentenced to seven and a half years in prison. He is being
held in Dabei Prison in Shenyang City. Eight practitioners from Yi County are being held in Masanjia Forced Labor
Camp in Shenyang City. They are: Mr. Liu Cheng from Qianyang Township, Mr. Xu
Zhihua and Mr. Xu Shaogang from Juliangtun Township, Ms. Tian Baoli and Mr. Fan
Baorong from Dayushubao Town, Ms. Cui Fengying from the Liulonggou Township, and
Ms. Guo Guixiang and Mr. Cui Guohua from downtown Yi County. 4. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Lili Taken to a Forced Labor
Camp Ms. Liu Lili, 25, from Xiliujiahe Village, Atuo Town, Changle County, was
held in Changle Detention Center for a month. She was then taken to the Weifang
Industrial Leadership School Brainwashing Center, where she was held for nearly
two months. In October 2008, she was transferred to Wangcun Women's Forced Labor
Camp. 5. [Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Haiyan Was Taken into Custody On November 23, Ms. Wang Haiyan and another practitioner were distributing
brochures in the Nandamiao Village, Mayingzi Township, Luoping County. They were
turned in to the police and subsequently taken into custody by four officers
from the Mayingzi Township Police Station. At around 2:00 p.m. the same day, the
two practitioners were transferred to the domestic security division of the
Luanping County Police Department. The police confiscated their identification
cards. At 9:00 p.m. Ms. Wang was transferred to an undisclosed location, and the
other practitioner was released that night at around 1:00 a.m. Luanping County Police Department: 86-314-8583305 6. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Yuxiang Taken into Custody Ms. Zhang Yuxiang, who works at the Qilu Petrochemical Company, was taken
into custody numerous times by the 610 Office. On November 23, 2008,
Ms. Zhang was again taken to the Zibo City Detention Center by officials with
the Linzi District 610 Office in Zibo City. They also took a computer, a
printer, and an unspecified amount of cash from her home. 7. [Yi County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Fengzhen and Ms. Guo Fengqin
Taken into Custody At around 7:00 p.m. on November 25, 2008, Ms. Zhang Fengzhen and Ms. Guo
Fengqin in Bajiazi Village, Juliangtun Township, Yi County, went to nearby
villages to distribute Falun Dafa information brochures. Yang Zhou, director of
the Juliangtun Township Police Station, and other officers followed the two

officers from the Jianshe Police Station. She was taken to a detention center
after being interrogated in the domestic security division of the police

(Cell) 9. [Yishui City, Shandong Province] Mr. Yan Peiguang, Ms. Li Jizhen, and Ms.
Sun Qingxiang Taken into Custody in Yinan County On November 19, 2008, Mr. Yan Peiguang, Ms. Li Jizhen, and Ms. Sun Qingxiang
from Yishui City were exchanging thoughts in Yinan County. The police took them
into custody. Approximately 30 practitioners were taken into custody at the same
time. Ma Chenglong, head of the domestic security division: 86-13573945281 (Cell) 10. [Qian'an County, Jilin Province] Ms. Sun Shuying Taken into Custody At noon on November 21, 2008, officers from the Zhanyu Township in Qi'an
County broke into Ms. Sun Shuying's mother's home in Mozi Village. They arrested
Ms. Sun Shuying who was visiting her mother. Ms. Sun is being held at the
Qian'an County Detention Center. Public Security Section of the Qian'an County Police Department:
86-438-8221526 11. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Qin Sentenced to 18 Months of
Forced Labor On October 31, 2008, Ms. Zhang Qin from Youyan County in Anshan City was
taken into custody. She has been sentenced to 18 months of forced labor and is
in Masanjia Forced Labor Camp in Liaoning Province. Wang Fengtang, deputy town commissioner: 86-15842283666 (Cell) 12. [Renqiu City, Hebei Province] Ms. Sun Meifen Goes on a Hunger Strike
after Being Unlawfully Placed on Trial Late at night on July 30, 2008, Ms. Sun Meifen, who lives in Xiguxian
Village, Chu'an Township, Renqiu City, was taken into custody by Ren Yuefeng and
other officers from the Chu'an Township Police Station. She was held in the
Renqiu City Detention Center. On the morning of October 22, Renqiu City Court tried Ms. Sun, who was
handcuffed and shackled in the courtroom. Ms. Sun entered the eighth day of her
hunger strike. Her body has started to cramp and her thoughts have become

Bailiang, and Mr. Li Yongsheng Face Trial The Xi'an District Court in Mudanjiang City was scheduled to try Mr. Li
Haifeng, Mr. Zhao Bailiang, and Mr. Li Yongsheng on November 28. The three
practitioners have been held at the Mudanjiang City No. 1 Detention Center for

Face Trial The Nanshan District Court in Hegang City placed Mr. Zhao Fuqiang and Mr. Ji
Fangrong on trial at 9:00 a.m., on November 27. Nanshan District Court in Hegang City: 86-468-3308005 15. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Mr. Zhang Shukun is Secretly Transferred to
a Detention Center On the afternoon of November 25, Mr. Zhang Shukun was secretly transferred to
a detention center. He was originally told he was to be released at noon on
November 26. 16. [Zunhua City, Hebei Province] Mr. Tong Tianyi's Family Taken into Custody At 11:30 a.m. on November 26, 2008, Wang Jiguo of the Zunhua City 610 Office
and Wang Kunyuan of the domestic security division led officers to break into
Mr. Tong Tianyi's home. The officers confiscated a computer and a printer. They
tried to take into custody Mr. Tong, his wife, and his father Mr. Tong Xin, who
is in his 70s. The three practitioners resisted. The officers called in crowd
control police to take the three practitioners away. Zunhua City Detention Center: 86-315-6682001 17. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Mr. Zhao Tongxiao Secretly Placed on
Trial on October 29 18. [Qi County, Shanxi Province] Mr. Duan Baohai Sentenced to Three Years in
Prison; Held at Jinzhong Prison 19. [Tongchuan City, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Chen Wenge Taken into Custody by
Yintai Police Department on November 21; His Whereabouts Remain Unknown 20. [Chongqing] Ms. Zhang Chunxiang Sentenced to Prison Ms. Zhang Chunxiang from the Wanzhou District in Chongqing was taken into
custody on June 2008. On November 19, she was sentenced to three and a half
years in prison. 21. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Additional Information on Mr. Gou Yuejun At around 6:00 p.m. on October 22, 2008, Wang, director of the Heye Police
Station in Ximei Town, Suining City, and four other officers broke into Mr. Gou
Yuejun's home. The officers searched Mr. Gou's home, and took him into custody. 22. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Liu Changqiong Taken into Custody On the morning of November 25, officials of the security division of the No.
7111 Factory in Wenjiang District, Chengdu City, and officers from the Gongping
Police Station in Wenjiang District took into custody Ms. Liu Changqiong, and
her husband, Mr. Huang, who work at the No. 7111 Factory. The police also
searched the couple's home and confiscated a printer, among their other personal
properties. 23. [Meizhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Qiu Chunmei and Ms. Lin Meiling
Taken into Police Custody Ms. Qiu Chunmei and Ms. Lin Meiling from Jiaoling County in Meizhou City went
to Yuanbei Town in Jiaoling County to tell others about Falun Dafa on November
21. Officers from the Yuanbei Town Police Station took them into custody. The
two practitioners' whereabouts are unknown. 24. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Kong Taken into Custody Mr. Kong, a physician in Dalian City, was taken into custody by the
Nanguanling police. He was helping the family of a fellow practitioner named
Yang to present the facts about Falun Dafa to officers that arrested
practitioners. Mr. Kong has been taken to the Yaojia Detention Center in Dalian

Taken into Police Custody At around 2:00 p.m. on November 25, Ms. Yu Shoufen was taken into custody by
officers from the Taoyuan Police Station in Zhongshan District, Dalian City. The
police searched her home. Ms. Yu is being held at the Yaojia Detention Center. 26. [Yi County, Hebei Province] Mr. Li Baojin and Mr. Wang Deqian Unlawfully
Sentenced to Prison On November 18, 2008, Mr. Wang Deqian from the Laishui area was sentenced to
four years in prison by the Yi County Court. Mr. Li Baojin was sentenced to
three years in prison. The two practitioners are being held at the Yi County
Detention Center. Five other practitioners were also sentenced to prison: Ms.
Wang Yaqin, Ms. Wang Jinhua, Ms. Zhong Shuhua, Ms. Wei Yougu,i and Ms. Xu Guifen. In 2001, the Yi County Court sentenced 13 practitioners to from eight to 15
years in prison, including Mr. Zhang Dongsheng, Ms. Ma Xiaoqin, Mr. Cao Xiaogang,
and Ms. Hu Wenhua. Yi County Prosecution Section: 86-312-8218033 27. [Sichuan Province] List of Practitioners Persecuted in Zigong City Ms. Zhan Qunying, 50, was laid off by the company where she worked. On April
29, 2008, she was taken into custody by officers from the Guo Street Police
Station and the domestic security division in the Ziliujing District while she
was giving out brochures at the Guojia'ao Farm Market in Zigong City. After
being held for over six months, Ms. Zhan was prosecuted by the Ziliujing
District Procuratorate and sentenced to three years in prison on
November 12. Ms. Zhan's whereabouts are unknown. Mr. Zhong Chuanzhu, 50, is a supplies administrator at the operations and
administration department of the Zigong City Telecommunications Company. On
April 29, he was taken into custody. Like Ms. Zhan Qunying, he was sentenced to
three years in prison. His whereabouts are unknown. Ms. Zhan Fengying, 51, is retired from the salt factory in the Ziliujing
District in Zigong City. On April 29, 2008, officers from the domestic security
division of Ziliujing District broke into her home. After being held for a month
in Songlinpo Detention Center in Rong County, Zigong City, Ms. Zhan was taken to
Nanmusi Forced Labor Camp in the Zizhong area for a one year of forced labor. Ms. Yu Ruibi and Ms. Yang Yongyi were taken into custody on the afternoon of
September 18, 2008, while handing out brochures in the Machishui area in Da'an
District, Zigong City. Both practitioners have been unlawfully sentenced to
prison. 28. [Changde City, Hunan Province] Additional Information on Two
Practitioners in Custody On November 21, seven or eight officers from the Shimen County 610 Office,
the county police department, the domestic security division, and criminal
response unit broke into Ms. Guan Yong'e's home. The police searched the home
for hours. The police officers even threatened officials of Shimen County Water
Conservancy Department to terminate Ms. Guan's husband. Office of chief of Shimen County Police Department: 86-736-5152598 29. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. You Shirong Taken into Custody
Again It was reported lately that Ms. You Shirong was taken into custody again, on
July 23, 2008, and the police took possession of her personal property. In June
2007, Ms. You was taken to the No. 2 Division of the Shandong Province No. 2
Women's Forced Labor Camp in the Wangcun area. 30. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Mr. Wu Tingwen Taken into Custody Mr. Wu Tingwen is a teacher at the Langfang No. 10 High School. While
chatting with students in the dormitory, he talked with them about Chinese
traditional culture. Mr. Wu gave his perspective on the recent earthquake in
Sichuan Province and discussed how to be a good person. However, when Jia Zhaofa,
the school principal, and Wang Fuxiang, a school official, learned about this,
they expelled Mr. Wu from the school. On the morning of June 27, 2008, they lied
to Mr. Wu, saying he should come to the school to pick up his final paycheck.
When Mr. Wu showed up, the police took him into custody. Mr. Wu was taken to a
detention center and brainwashing center, and his home was ransacked. He was
sentenced to forced labor and son had to drop out of college. Mr. Wu's son now
has to work odd jobs in order to support himself. November 26, 2008
