Last Friday, an officer from a police station in Hengyang City, Hunan Province, called a Falun Gong practitioner's neighbor. The officer asked the neighbor if he had ever seen the practitioner explaining Falun Gong to anyone. The neighbor replied, "He is a good person. I have never seen see him do anything wrong." The policeman said, "If you see him go out to clarify the truth, call the police, and you will be rewarded 1000 yuan." The neighbor replied, "He is a good person. He has done nothing wrong. I wouldn't do it even if you did give me1000 yuan."

This incident took place in the suburbs of Shijiazhuang City. Mr. Ding and his wife, both about 50 years old, live in Zhao County. The wife had been unable to move her bowels for about a month. She was taken to the county hospital and then the provincial hospital, where doctors diagnosed her with late-stage colon cancer that would not respond to surgery. The husband grumbled, "Every time you ask for it, nothing happens. You are wasting my efforts everyday." The wife said this time was different. She felt her bowels move more and more, and this time, after being constipated for a month, it was not a false alarm.
