Cultivation and Happiness

(Clearwisdom.net) Human beings live in the world to pursue a state of happiness and live comfortably, at ease. In recent times, people have disregarded traditional moral restrictions and sought fame and profit. Nowadays people tend to believe that if you have money, you can buy anything you like, enjoyment of any kind and live a comfortable life.

It is very difficult for one to break away from a society filled with temptation. For a Falun Dafa practitioner, his or her cultivation begins in ordinary society; a society full of enticements. As a cultivator, on one hand there is the need to discard all human attachments, but on the other hand, one can not depart from society. It is not easy to handle it well.

A cultivator is a human being who walks on the path of godhood. He still has human desires, with cultivation the human desires will gradually subside but will still exist. Before his consummation, as long as there is desire, if one does not handle it well, there will be interference.

As Dafa practitioners in the Fa-rectification period, there is not just individual cultivation and getting rid of human attachments, we need to cultivate well and save sentient beings. This is not just an ordinary cultivation means from the past, or simply individual cultivation. Today it is different. Not only do we need to cultivate ourselves well, but also safeguard the Fa, rectify the Fa, clarify the truth, send-forth righteous thoughts and save sentient beings.

It is difficult to cultivate. It is even more difficult to save sentient beings while dealing with the systematic persecution. It is extremely difficult for the Dafa practitioners in the Fa-rectification period.

Surrounded by difficulties, we establish our virtue, the harder the difficulty, the higher the virtue.

How do we as Dafa practitioners view the difficulties?

Personally, I feel that we should not acknowledge and endure them. We should use righteous thoughts to deal with them. If they are ours we will overcome them, if they are not, we should negate them.

For example, with the persecution, we should firmly negate it. We are resolutely against the persecution, and we should not acknowledge this difficulty.

Under CCP rule, many Dafa practitioners have financial problems. This is a direct result of persecution. The CCP has deprived Dafa practitioners of their right to work, sometimes also affecting our relatives. The CCP was made to destroy Dafa practitioners. I believe we should negate the financial difficulties, not simply endure them.

How do we negate the financial problems? I believe, as Dafa practitioners, we should clarify the truth in a dignified way, telling the people around us that we are Dafa practitioners, how we strive to be better people, and how we would benefit a certain workplace if we were to be employed there. We must turn this situation around on a fundamental level.

As Dafa practitioners, we should work diligently if we run businesses. We should run them well. The facts speak the loudest. Let people see that Dafa practitioners can do everything well.

As Dafa practitioners in the Fa-rectification period, we work to get rid of the attachment to happiness on the one hand, and to be able to endure and bear hardship. On the other hand, we should not acknowledge the difficulties caused by the persecution.
