Mr. Huang Fenghe Mentally Traumatized from Torture in Changlinzi Forced Labor Camp in Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province

(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Huang Fenghe from Shangzhishi, Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, was incarcerated in the Strictly Controlled Team in Changlinzi Forced Labor Camp a few days ago. He has since become mentally traumatized. Shirking responsibility, camp officials quickly processed his case in the shortest time (a week) in the camp's history and released Huang Fenghe on medical bail, lying by saying that Mr. Huang had contracted tuberculosis.

In December 2007, Strictly Controlled Team leader Wang Kai suddenly added more hard labor for the detainees. Falun Gong practitioners were forced to work every day until after 9:00 p.m., and most days until 11:00 p.m. That meant practitioners had to work from 6:30 a.m. for 13 to 15 hours straight, getting only a lunch and restroom break. The practitioners were forced to sit on small stools while they worked. Even those over 50 to 60 years old were treated the same way. Merely sitting on a small stool for long periods is difficult in itself; in addition they had to perform hard labor. Furthermore, criminal prisoners whom the guards had chosen to monitor the practitioners frequently verbally abused the practitioners, making them suffer from both physical and mental harassment. Practitioner Wu Hongzhu never had high blood pressure before, but his feet and hands started to become numb, and his blood pressure registered 180.

On December 16, 2007, practitioners began to shout, "Falun Dafa is good. Stop the persecution." Team leader Wang Kai cursed and scolded the practitioners loudly in the dining hall. After that, he ordered a few prisoners to beat Mr. Wu Hongzhu. After going back the cell, he also ordered prisoner Ma Taiping to beat every practitioner. The sound of this physical abuse could be heard 40 meters away from the scene. The bed board was even broken. Practitioner Mr. Sun Peiran was beaten so badly that he limped afterwards. Practitioner Mr. Liu Qingran had bruises all over his face. In the evening, prisoner Ma Taiping who had been drinking, beat practitioners again. He also verbally abused the practitioners and used a large brush handle to hit Mr. Huang Fenghe on the head.

In January 2008, Mr. Huang lost the hearing in one ear. Later on his reactions became very slow and eventually he no longer reacted to stimuli and could not answer any questions correctly. On January 11, his symptom became worse. The guards also noticed that his situation was serious, and they let him rest. On the afternoon of January 13, Huang Fenghe started to mumble nonsense and was showing other mental problems. That evening he had a high fever. He screamed and would not go to sleep. He had become mentally disordered. The officials took him to a hospital on January 14, 2008.

When processing his medical bail, it was heard that Mr. Huang's family members were even forced to pay the hospital costs. His current situation is unknown. Please, clarify the truth to his family members, and also tell them to appeal for justice for him.
