The Persecution of Mr. Fu Zengqi and His Family in Xinji City, Hebei Province

(Clearwisdom.net) Fu Zengqi's whole family practices Falun Gong. They are residents of Xinji City, Hebei Province and conduct themselves according to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance. All of them were employed and are fit and healthy. The whole family lived harmoniously. Falun Dafa brought happiness to this household. Since the persecution in China started on July 20, 1999, the whole family has suffered mental torment, physical abuse and financial deprivation.

Beginning on July 20, 1999, Xinji City 610 Office staff members Geng Zhanfeng and Jia Lichao started to monitor and tail Fu Zengqi's family members. The whole family had gone to Beijing in 2000 to appeal for justice for Falun Gong. As a result, Fu Zengqi was incarcerated. He worked for a tobacco department in Xinji City. His daughter Fu Dongxiao, working at the same place, was incarcerated for more than a month. Their salaries were withheld, and all their staff benefits taken away. Fu Zengqi's wife was locked up in a detention center for three years and was later sent to a brainwashing center.

610 Office agents Geng Zhanfeng and Jia Lichao barged into the Fu family residence on June 17, 2001. They ransacked the house and took away all the keys, a photocopier, a VCD writer, a TV set and a desktop computer. These expensive items totaled 40 thousand yuan. The whole family was incarcerated.

Fu Zengqi suffered verbal and physical abuse in prison. Four perpetrators lifted him up and threw him to the floor and handcuffed his arms behind his back. During his detention period, the abusers tortured Fu Zengqi was so severely that he lost consciousness. Criminal inmate Li Jun beat Mr. Fu so severely that he became lame, and had difficulty walking.

Fu Zengqi's father was so shocked by his son's arrest that he fell severely ill. He never recovered, and on his deathbed was still calling out for his son.

Fu Zengqi's wife Liu Junqing was incarcerated for many years. Their daughter Fu Dongxiao was incarcerated and then sentenced to seven years of imprisonment. She was sent to Mancheng Prison in Baoding City and she escaped in 2006. Their son was also incarcerated, interrogated and tailed. His employers fired him from his job, withdrew all staff benefits and stopped paying his salary.

Fu Zengqi and his daughter lost their jobs on July 22, 2001. So far they have not received a penny of income from the company, and neither was their medical coverage or staff benefits and pension reinstated. Based on current calculations, the salary owed to the Fu family totals at least 200 thousand yuan.
