Divine Performing Arts Performances Appeal to a Wide Variety of Ethnic Backgrounds (Photo) By Xindi, a Minghui reporter
(Clearwisdom.net) On February 3, the Divine Performing Arts finished its
sixth Chinese New Year Splendor performance in New York City. For the
past few days, Radio City Music Hall has been packed with people from many
different ethnic backgrounds, all different social strata, various ages, and a
wide range of countries of origin. Many people praised the Divine Performing
Arts' performances as "the best," "the most beautiful," and
"the purest." On the afternoon of February 3, audience members saw the sixth
Chinese New Year Splendor at Radio City Music Hall "Very lucky to be able to see such an excellent performance" Sheila, her husband, and their two children came to New York City on
vacation. After they saw a poster advertising the Divine Performing Arts' Chinese
New Year Splendor, they came to Radio City Music Hall to get a view of
traditional Chinese culture. Sheila told the reporter that she liked the dance
drama of "The Risen Lotus Flower" very much. She said, "I believe
that for good people, no matter what they have suffered, what they will ultimate
get will certainly be the best, because God has His criteria. I am glad to see
this principle being reflected in this performance. It is of educational
significance to people." Sheila's daughter said, "I saw that good
people are being persecuted in China. It is an awful thing." Sheila's son
said that the programs he liked most were "Drummers of the Tang Court"
and "Resounding Drums." "They were fabulous! The sound of the
drums was really good and inspiring!" Sheila and her family said that they
were very lucky to be able to see such an excellent performance on their New
York City vacation. "It' impossible for me to forget today's performance" Cho came from a Korean family in New Jersey. It was his mother who saw the
news that Divine Performing Arts would perform in New York City. His family also
invited their friends to come to the performance with them. They obviously
enjoyed what they saw. "It is full of good messages. It's impossible for me
to forget today's performance," Cho's sister said. As a Korean family, they
really enjoyed the dance "In the Changbai Mountains" Cho said,
"The Korean dance they performed was really authentic. The lead dancer was
fabulous! I'm really happy to see that the performance has included such a
beautiful Korean dance." Cho liked Tenor Hong Ming's song and the
"Drummers of the Tang Court." He said, "The tenor's voice was
really great. The rhythm of that drum performance was really good. It was quite
inspiring." "'The Power of Awareness' enlightens people" Mr. Zhang is in the restaurant business in Philadelphia. Today he drove to
New York City specifically to see Divine Performing Arts. He told the reporter,
"I see the Chinese New Year performance every year. Every program in
today's performance was very good. If I had to choose a 'best,' I think it would
be 'The Power of Awareness.' It enlightens people--what people should do when
facing [the choice between] good and evil." Mr. Liang, who came from Guangzhou City in China and is now a driver in New
York City's Chinatown, and his wife were pleased to tell the reporter, "We
liked each program. Each one was really good. I really hope more Chinese people
can come to see this performance."
