Dafa Has Given Me Everything

By a 22-year-old practitioner from Northern Iran

(Clearwisdom.net) I've been cultivating for about two years and a half. Dafa has given me everything, including health and the process of returning to my original true self. Dafa has indeed saved me.

That's why I decided to write about my experience.

For all my short life in this world, I've been looking for a way that would show me the truth of the cosmos. I had many questions, such as why I'd come to this world, the reason for the existence of the cosmos, and other puzzling questions. All these questions were answered by Master Li and his great book, Zhuan Falun.

As Master says, "Don't go to extremes." When I found the answers to all my questions, there was no other practice for me; I would try to treat the people around me properly and maintain the xinxing of a cultivator. But because I always thought about doing Dafa work (which, of course, is also part of cultivation) I had, in fact, forgotten about myself and those around me, including my family and my personal life. I felt as if there was very little time. It was like:

"Modern science holds that time has a field. If something is not within the scope of a time-field, it is not restricted by that time. In other dimensions, the concepts of time-space are different from ours here." (Zhuan Falun, Lecture Two)

I had to create a balance. Since I was a practitioner and a disciple of Master, I had to do everything properly. I had to live my life knowing that I am living in the ordinary world and that I should conform to the ordinary world while maintaining the xinxing of a cultivator.

With more Fa study and experience sharing with other practitioners, I found my weakness and sought to remove it.

Of course, saving sentient beings is the most important thing. Clarifying the truth and eliminating the meddling deities are among my duties. In addition, I realized that I have to do the three things properly--if I slack off in doing one of the three things or if I pay more attention to one more than the others, things do not go very smoothly.

My cultivation path has been arranged by Master; therefore I should travel this path properly and with the utmost respect. My understanding is that everything in a cultivator's life has its own place and things happen to cultivate that person, and it is always the divine part that can overcome the human side. As Master says in Zhuan Falun, Lecture Five: "One righteous mind can subdue one hundred evils."

"The Fa cultivates practitioners," as Master says in Zhuan Falun. During the process of cultivation, whatever is good inside me is already assimilated to the Fa and whatever is incomplete is from my human side, which I should rectify, and I should act according to the great principles of "Truth-Compassion-Forbearance." Nothing in a cultivator's life happens by accident. In addition, I should not forget personal cultivation and a cultivator's consummation while saving sentient beings.

When I set out to write this, finding the words that would express the things inside me seemed difficult, I tried my best and hope I have been able to express myself appropriately. I hope fellow practitioners will point out any mistakes in my experience sharing.

I would like to finish this article with a quote from Master's message to the 2006 Ukraine Fa Conference:

"As you progress in cultivation, your mission of saving beings and dissolving the evil and the old factors' interference will naturally converge with your cultivation. Only when you cultivate yourself well can you establish everything of the future."
