(Clearwisdom.net) I live in a remote town. In 1995, I developed myasthenia gravis (an autoimmune disease causing weakness of the muscles). As the disease worsened, it affected my heart and breathing, and I suffered greatly. I went to various hospitals for treatment, but to no avail. Furthermore, they were unable to find the root cause of my illness. I was ill until I started practicing Falun Gong in July 1997. At that time I regained my health and obtained a new life. People in my town were amazed at my recovery, and they wanted to learn more about Falun Gong.

On July 20, 1999, Jiang Zemin's regime openly launched the persecution of Falun Gong. All of the authorities, including work units, street offices and police departments, were involved in the persecution. They tried to force each practitioner to write a guarantee statement declaring that they gave up their belief.

One afternoon when I got off work, the office director of the county government informed my supervisor to have me go to the county government office. They wanted to talk to me about Falun Gong. I was very nervous. At that very moment, my supervisor phoned me and told me to wait at home because they were coming to my home. I thought it was a good opportunity to validate Dafa. Having regained my health was my best example for validating Dafa. My righteous thoughts emerged, so I was full of confidence and awaited their visit. One hour passed by, but they did not come. I made a phone call and asked them to come quickly. To my surprise, the director of the government office replied, "I am very busy now and have no time to go to your home. I believe Falun Gong is good. This is only instructions from above." He also said, "If other persons ask you about it, you should reply that I have already talked with you."

After a while, the deputy head of the police department suddenly wanted to talk with me. Having had the above experience, I was very calm. He said that someone had reported that I distributed truth-clarification materials in the suburbs during the daytime. I realized that he was deceiving me. I said, "I really want to, but I have no time to do it because I have to work. Maybe they have made a mistake." I thought that it was an opportunity to clarify the facts, so I said, "When I was at the brink of death you visited me. Now I am healthy. This is directly due to practicing Falun Gong. In the past, you told me that your wife was in bad health and let me teach her Falun Gong! Don't forget, Dafa is miraculous and sacred. It is beneficial for both body and mind, and is very beneficial for society." (Before the persecution started I had already told him about the benefits of Falun Gong) He had no words and was very embarrassed. He has not bothered me since then.

Fellow practitioners in my town are strict with ourselves and live by the principles of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance," and try to keep up with the pace of the Fa-rectification. In the beginning, we obtained our truth-clarification materials from other places. Later we set up our own materials production sites. Now our materials sites are all over town. We are walking the journey of Fa-rectification.In early 2004, I was dispatched to work in a department of the local government. Some people reminded me to be careful when I worked in a new workplace. I knew that as a practitioner, anything we encounter is not accidental. I had my mission and the change in my work was Master's arrangement. It was good for me to clarify the facts in a broad sense. When I came to the new environment, I diligently studied the Fa and clarified the facts. I got in touch with local practitioners and was able to help new practitioners with their cultivation. With the effort of other practitioners, we set up new truth-clarification materials production sites in the new place and continued clarifying the facts and saving sentient beings.
