An Elderly Man in Guizhou Province Advises Over Five Hundred People to Withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party and Its Affiliated Organizations

(Clearwisdom.net) The unprecedented snowstorm in southern China was devastating to everyone in the region. The disaster made people further recognize the cause of their suffering. During the snowstorm, an 82-year-old gentleman traveled to 28 townships and villages and advised 527 people to withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and/or its affiliated organizations. After much trouble, the list of names of those who withdrew was turned in to the Global Service Center for Quitting the Chinese Communist Party.

A woman told the reporters that she had a list of the names of 527 people who had agreed to withdraw from the CCP and/or its affiliated organizations and that the list was given to her by an 82-year-old gentleman. The man had asked her to forward the list to the Global Service Center for Quitting the Chinese Communist Party overseas. After copying down the long list of names, the reporter finally got a chance to interview the gentleman himself.

He told the reporter, "I live in a high mountain range where there is a concentration of ethnic minorities. The snowstorm caused power and water outages. The villagers are now facing food shortages as well. Many elderly people were freezing to death. Many farm animals such as young pigs, lambs, chickens, and ducks are dying from the severely cold weather."

When asked if any local officials had come to help, the old man said angrily, "There is no disaster relief. I haven't seen anything. All the corrupt officials only take away our land. They care nothing for the people. What disaster relief? If there is any disaster relief, those corrupt officials will take it. The common people don't get anything."

The old man also said, "I know that about 500 to 600 elderly people have died from the cold weather. Nobody cares about the life or death of common people. Those officials are rotten, and people hate them. Just today, over 20 officials came to our village and wanted to take away our land. They were quarreling with the villagers and almost started a fight."

He said, "I knew about withdrawing from the CCP early on. I spent a month walking around the 28 townships and villages nearby. I told the villagers about withdrawing from the CCP and/or its affiliated organizations. Most villagers are ethnic minorities. They understand and all hate the CCP. They were very supportive and willing to sign their names when they heard that I would help them withdraw from the CCP. I got 527 signatures."

He said, "Some villagers told me that what I was doing was very dangerous. I said, 'I'm not afraid. I am 82 years old and cannot live much longer. I'm not afraid of anything.' The CCP has made our lives so hard. I will continue to do what I can. As long as I have the strength, I will help more people to withdraw from the CCP."
