Abbot: "The Opening Scene Struck a Chord at the Bottom of My Heart" (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) The Chinese Spectacular by the Divine Performing Arts is touring the world, portraying the traditional Chinese culture and its values of truth, compassion and forbearance. People of different races, religion and ages are very much attracted to these values, in which they find long lost ancient memories.

Abbot Fa Kuang

Abbot Fa Kuang brought eleven monks and followers to watch the show in Kaohsiung on March 5, 2008. He said a Buddhist follower recommended the show to him. He thought it would be bad not to share such a good thing with others, so he brought his followers here too. He thought it would be a pity if he had come by himself to watch such an inspiring, and righteous-thought-provoking show.

Shih Wu-yung

Monk Shih Wu-yung shared his experience: "As soon as the curtain opened and I witnessed the scene of 'Descent of the Celestial Kings' I couldn't control my tears. It struck a chord at the bottom of my heart. I asked myself, "How could we have fallen to this world? The realm of Buddhas is so pure and solemn. I should let go of everything and hurry back to this land."

Also, a nun from Spain said she had never seen such a beautiful show. She was very touched and said she felt as if she had just had a beautiful dream.
