(Clearwisdom.net) Recent news reports have related constant incidents of arrest of Falun Dafa practitioners by agents of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). I learned from the Minghui/Clearwisdom website that the CCP is plotting to arrest up to a hundred practitioners in our area. I would like to share my understanding of the current situation.

On the surface it appears that the CCP is using the Olympics as justification to arrest practitioners. However, looked at from the standpoint of Fa-rectification, it seems to be different. Now that Master, during the last phase of Fa-rectification, has published the article, "Sifting of the Sand," isn't this apparent persecution a major test, to determine whether we are gold or sand? Recently I once again studied the article "Huge Exposure" in Essentials for Further Advancement in which Master stated,

"Isn't what has happened a test for Dafa disciples' xinxing? What is cultivation? When you say it's good, I say it's good, and everyone says it's good, how can you see a person's heart? Only at the critical moment can we see his heart."

All of us are only too well aware that our fundamental, steadfast faith in Dafa will be tested. We might as well save our breath if we are not fundamentally steadfast in our faith in the Fa. We Dafa disciples have gone through so much in recent years: through repeated difficulties, we have abandoned the attachment to life and death as we have gone through tribulations and persecution.

We cannot let false impressions during the final, crucial moment drive us and make us fail at the last step. We are Dafa disciples on the path to divinity. Each persecution incident should only make us more steadfast, more mature, and more rational. Let's abandon fear and ego. If any evil comes, let's wield our Buddha law-given powers and annihilate such evil. If all Dafa disciples from China could abandon the attachment to life and death and free themselves of all attachments and self-centeredness and send the most powerful righteous thoughts, how could the evil even exist? Without evil, wouldn't the persecution have ended?

The ancient story of the Golden Buddha relates the lives of two practitioners who had gone through many trials and tribulations and finally arrived at the final destination in the West. But at the last moment of testing, their insincerity caused them to fail. And so, a simple butcher, because of his sincerity, became a Buddha. Cultivation is such a serious matter and we cannot be a bit off.
