(Clearwisdom.net) Both Zhao Minglei, Deputy Mayor of Hengshui City, and Ju Zhaojun, a former 610 Office chairmen, met with karmic retribution. Zhao Minglei died. Ju Zhaokun was diagnosed with a brain tumor and admitted to a hospital in Beijing. He had surgery to remove the tumor, but the surgery failed. Ju returned home quietly and shut himself off from the outside world. He even kept his door shut on the first day of 2008 Chinese New Year. Ju is now tormented by his illness. His story illustrates the ancient Chinese belief that Heaven will ultimately reward good deeds and punish bad deeds.
Ju Zhaokun was the Secretary (Head) of Jing County's Political and Legal Committee at the time when Jiang Zemin and the Chinese Communist Party began the suppression of Falun Gong on July 20, 1999. He was an active supporter of the persecution of Falun Gong. He worked actively with Zhao Minglei, the former Secretary of Jing County Committee, to establish the notorious 610 Office and became the Chairman of the county branch. During his post, Ju persecuted the area's Falun Gong practitioners, wrecked their happy homes and lied to the county's residents about the persecution of Falun Gong.
In November 1999, Ju Zhaokun ordered the arrest, detention and torture of a Falun Gong practitioner named Liu Lianyi. This caused the tragic death of Liu in Jing County Detention Center. Ju is responsible for the illegal prison terms of at least seven Falun Gong practitioners, the illegal forced labor camp terms of 26 practitioners, and the illegal detention of over 1,000 practitioners. Ju is also responsible for the collection of nearly 1 million yuan from illegal fines and confiscations of Falun Gong practitioners. More than a dozen practitioners were forced to leave their homes to take into hiding. Ju repeatedly held meetings to discuss plans to suppress Falun Gong and ordered the county, township and town-level 610 offices, courts, prosecutors' offices, police stations and governments to arrest and harass practitioners.
