Policemen in Jincheng City, Shanxi Province Arrest Several Falun Gong Practitioners

(Clearwisdom.net) At around 11:00 p.m. on February 17, 2008, Falun Gong practitioner, Ms. Zhang Yunqin, and her twelve-year-old son were forcibly taken away from the family-housing area in the Gushuyuan Mining plant by several policemen from the Gushuyuan Mining Public Security Office of the Mining Bureau Jincheng City, Shanxi Province, the Mining Bureau Public Security branch office in Jincheng City, and the Jincheng City Public Security Office. The officers took away her computer and many other items. Ms. Zhang Yunqin's son was released the following day, whereas she was illegally detained in the Jincheng City Detention Center. It was said that because Ms. Zhang Yunqin wrote and posted truth-clarifying information, the police illegally arrested her.

On March 7, 2008, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Yuan Yueling of Liyi Town, Lingchuan County in the jurisdiction of Jincheng City, Shanxi Province was taken from her home by the police. The police took away a large number of items from her home including; her computer, printer, paper currency with truth-clarifying messages, and other truth clarifying materials. Before this day, there were another two unknown Falun Gong practitioners who were reported on while they were distributing truth-clarification materials, and were subsequently arrested by the police from Lingchuan County.

On March 11, 2008, a Falun Gong practitioner's home in Gaoping City, under the jurisdiction of Jincheng City, Shanxi Province, was illegally searched by police officers from the Gaoping City Police Station. Several other Falun Gong practitioners' families were also harassed by the police.
