Three Practitioners Arrested in Shulan City, Jilin Province
(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Niu Yuhui, Ms. Li Shuyan, and Ms. Wu Xiaoyun were
arrested by the police in Shulan City, Jilin Province. On the morning of April 14, 2008, officer Xia Chunlin and others from the
Tiande Police Station arrested Ms. Niu Yuhui at her home in Qingfeng Township,
Shulan City. The police searched Ms. Niu's home and confiscated more than 6,000
yuan in cash, along with a computer, a color inkjet printer, and
other personal property. Ms. Niu was taken to the Beicheng Police Station and
transferred to the Nanshan Detention Center that night. Ms. Niu is being held in
Shulan Detention Center. Ms. Niu has been imprisoned for her belief many times since the Chinese
Communist Party (CCP) started to persecute Falun Dafa practitioners in 1999. In
2001, after she was released from a forced labor camp, she was forced to flee
her home to avoid constant harassment from local CCP members. CCP agents,
however, continued to harass her, tracking her whereabouts. Ms. Niu kept moving
from place to place and she suffered a great deal. On April 15, 2008, when she
came home for a visit, someone reported her to the police and she was arrested. On the morning of April 17, 2008, officers from the Jishu Police Station,
under the command of Li Weijun (male), searched the homes of Mr. Yang Xingli and
Mr. Xu Zhixin. In the afternoon, they arrested Ms. Li Shuyan, seized a computer
and other personal property. On March 8, 2008, the police searched Ms. Wu Xiaoyun's home in Qingfeng
Township and took Ms. Wu and her four-year-old son to the police station. Later,
the police left the child with relatives of Ms. Wu, and Ms. Wu was detained in
