Ms. Li Jinlian From Daqing City Illegally Imprisoned--Her Daughter Left Behind

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Li Jinlian, 39, a practitioner from Babaishang, Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province, lives in the third building area of Babaishang. She was a lathe operator in the machine repair shop of Daqing Drilling Second Company until she returned home in 1995, when she started to practice Falun Dafa and committed herself to being a moral, noble, good person according to the standard of Zhen-Shan-Ren, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance."

In 1998, her husband died, leaving her with a five-year-old daughter. Ms. Li not only had the sole responsibility for her young daughter, but also made weekly visits to her elderly mother and father-in-law. After the death of her husband, her mother-in-law became poisoned by the Chinese Communist Party's propaganda and held on to misunderstandings towards Falun Gong, but Ms. Li still visited her in-laws each week.

In February 2000, Ms. Li went to Beijing to explain to government officials that Falun Dafa is good. She was arrested in Tiananmen Square and detained at Sun Island Guest House of the Beijing Liaison Office of Daqing City, a place specifically designated by Daqing local authorities to hold Daqing practitioners that came to Beijing to appeal. Personnel from her place of employment took her back to Daqing City, and police officers Lin Shui, Li Baoshan, and Jiang Yingyou took her to Daqing Municipal Detention Center and imprisoned her for over two months. She was then imprisoned in Honggang District Detention Center for 45 days. She was held for over 100 days just for making a statement about Falun Gong.

That same year her work unit conducted brainwashing sessions, and former Party secretary Guo Qingchun, male, forced Ms. Li Jinlian to watch videos slandering Falun Gong. In order to defend the truth and fight the injustice, she destroyed the videotapes. Her employer followed CCP chief Jiang to force staff and Ms. Li Jinlian to sign a banner criticizing Falun Gong. She cut the banner, then and there. This angered those in charge. Embarrassed, they imprisoned her in Daqing Municipal Detention Center again for 45 days, and at Honggang District Detention Center for 15 days.

In the summer of 2007, Ms. Li Jinlian was recruited to work in the Babaishang Branch Factory of the machine repair shop at Daqing Drilling Group Company. On March 6, 2008, at approximately eight a.m., while Ms. Li Jinlian was working, Secretary Chen Yanning called her into the office. As soon as she entered the office, a group of police officers forced handcuffs and foot shackles on her and lifted her into a vehicle. She was arrested on a charge of "suspicion of preventing execution of the law." The police not only pried open her toolbox at work, but also went to her home to confiscate her personal property. They confiscated two printers, Dafa books and materials, her daugher's desktop computer, a satellite dish, two cell phones, as well as more than 10,000 yuan in cash and more than 20,000 yuan in bankbooks and credentials, and some other personal items. The house was completely ransacked.

Ms. Li Jinlian's family went to Babaishang Police Department to request her release. Her 15-year-old daughter is also a victim of the 10-year-long persecution of Falun Gong and pleads for her mother's release. Chief Li Daming was perfunctory and refused. On March 19, the family again demanded the return of their cash and bankbooks confiscated by the police. Li Daming said, "I will return them to you after Ms. Li Jinlian's case has been handled." On March 26, when the family went to Daqing Municipal Police Department to appeal, Deputy Chief Liang Ximing said, "This case has already been handed over to the Procuratorate." The CCP shirks responsibility and deceives the common people. Under Chinese Communist Party tyranny, the common people are treated unjustly and have nowhere to appeal.
