A Few Thoughts from the Earthquake-Stricken Area

(Clearwisdom.net) A powerful earthquake occurred in Wenchuan County, Sichuan Province on May 12, 2008. I am a practitioner from the earthquake-stricken area, though not from the area hardest hit.

When the earthquake occurred at 2:28 pm, the building I was living in (built in early 80s) shook violently. I had no fear at all and my righteous thoughts were very strong. It was my daughter who dragged me to a nearby garden to seek refuge. In the evening, many people dared not to go back inside the building and stayed in the open. I went back home after 6:00 pm. When I phoned another practitioner, I found out that she and her husband did not even step outside their building. They said there were alarming situations but no real danger. Everything at home was intact, not even a small bottle had fallen to the ground. However, their neighbors suffered various degree of loses. We knew that Teacher had protected us.

In the days that followed there were many aftershocks, both big and small. We did not pay attention to them and were not panicked by them. Since May 12, many relatives and friends phoned in to show their concern. I thought that the earthquake is pressing practitioners to seize the time and save people since time is running out. We must try our best to save as many people as possible. Therefore, I used the opportunity to clarify the truth to people (some of them had heard my truth-clarification before but turned a deaf ear to it) and persuade them to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its subordinate organizations. I told them that disasters are not limited to our area, the CCP would bring full-scale disasters on top of the ones that had already happened. I told them that the only way to protect themselves and avoid more disasters is to drop out of the evil party and repeat silently "Falun Dafa is good!" and "Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance is good!" These people felt my true concern for them so they were quite willing to accept what I had said.

Those who I influenced to quit the CCP in the past now truly realized that we practitioners did not deceive them, and that we are truly saving people who are in dangerous situations. Convinced of the truth, they now tell their friends and family.
