Holland: Dutch Practitioners Celebrate World Falun Dafa Day (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On May 12, 2008, Dutch practitioners held activities in
Rotterdam to celebrate World Falun Dafa Day. They erected picture displays,
performed exercise demonstrations, and petitioned to raise awareness about the
persecution happening in China. Many people saw the harmony and goodness of
Falun Gong and got to know the truth about the Chinese Communist Party's
persecution of the practice. One after another, people signed a petition
appealing for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong. Practitioners in Rotterdam College students have their pictures taken with practitioners Yuan Yuan, age six, can do the exercises and read Zhuan
Falun People signed the petition to support the effort to end the
persecution On May 12, Falun Gong practitioners arrived in the center of Rotterdam quite
early. They laid their materials out, set up the pictures, and demonstrated the
exercises. The slow and gentle exercises attracted many people to stay and
watch. A little six-year-old Chinese practitioner named Yuan Yuan joined the
exercises, surprising the onlookers. Yuan Yuan just came to Rotterdam from China
a month ago. She lived with her grandmother, who is also a Falun Gong
practitioner, since she was born. The pair studied and exercised every day. They
also clarified the truth to the people around them. Yuan Yuan not
only does the five sets of exercises but also reads the Falun Gong book, Zhuan
Falun. When she joined in the celebration, she missed her grandmother,
who is being illegally detained in prison in China for practicing
Falun Gong. The practitioners did the exercises and clarified the truth. Some people even
signed the petition before they had finished listening to the facts. A few
university students returned after they heard the facts to read the display and
sign the petition. Then they asked the practitioners if they could have their
pictures taken with them.
At the end of the celebration, the practitioners pressed their hands together in salutation to wish Master a happy birthday.
