By a practitioner in Laishui

I am a housewife living in the hilly area of Laisui County in Hebei Province, I am close to seventy years old. Before practicing Falun Gong, I had many serious illnesses, which had been causing me serious discomfort since I got married when I was 22 years old. My previous husband deserted me because I could not take care of myself, and spent too much of his money trying to cure my illnesses. After my second marriage, my husband spent all of his money treating my illnesses. This led to some improvement, but it got worse in a few years, together with some new illnesses, such as a heart condition, infection of my hip bones, displaced spinal disks, constipation, and insomnia. I had to rely on crutches, with each single step being a great challenge for me. Because of my illnesses, I had a very short temper. I was anxious, and in despair.

2005 was the year of my rebirth. I learned Falun Dafa. Three months after I began cultivating in Dafa, the illnesses that I had been unable to cure whatever I tried went away without any treatment. During this period I did not spend a single penny, nor take a single pill. All I did was to study the Fa (Teachings of Falun Dafa) and practice the Falun Gong exercises. I threw away my crutches and was able to walk for eight to nine miles from Baijian to Bancheng Village and back. My saddened face from the torture of my illnesses relaxed and showed some sign of color and radiance. I brought my long-missed laughter back to my family. I cannot express my gratitude to Teacher. There are no words that can express such gratitude.

My dear friends and relatives, this is the wonder of Dafa that I have witnessed.

I worked at a company in Changli County of Qianhuangdao City. In 2006 they found in a company sponsored physical examination that there was a tumor in my uterus. I went back to my hometown and had an operation, which left a foot-long scar on my lower abdomen. I was back at work right after the operation without much rest, but I was lethargic, my face was pallid and I was unable to exert any force. The scar from the operation hurt and itched when the weather was wet. In July or August, my lower abdomen began to hurt again. I had an ultrasound and they found that there was another small tumor. The doctor said that I needed another operation. I was upset because I had spent so much money and suffered a lot the last time. My financial situation was not that good, and I have an eighty-year-old in-law and a college-student to support. Later I adopted an "alternative treatment" with herbal medicine. Not only did it not cure me, I was poisoned from the dosage, and felt nausea and threw up often, which forced me to stop the treatment altogether. Later I tried electricity to burn the tumor off, to no avail, of course.

A Falun Gong practitioner worked in the same company as me. He told me that I should follow "Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance" to become a good person. He said if I devotedly recited "Falun Dafa is good", and '"Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance" is good', all my illnesses would disappear. He adhered to the principles of "Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance" himself and was always very nice and friendly. He never complained of having any ailment. But I still did not take his words seriously and only recited the words occasionally when it came to my mind.

When I found that I had no other resort, I thought of this practitioner. I asked him to teach me the practice. It took me three hours to learn all five exercises. After I had begun the practice, I felt distinctively that I had become more vigorous and less tired and I experienced the situations described in the book. After about twenty days, I felt a walnut-sized "thing" moving up and down in my lower belly where I had the tumor, which made my belly twitch. It lasted for two days. I could not figure out what was happening so I went to the hospital and had an examination. They found that my tumor was gone. I was so happy. I sincerely thanked Mr. Li.

Not long after, my left lower abdomen began to hurt again. The ultra sound examination found that new growths had occurred again. I told the practitioner, and she shared with me her understanding of sickness Karma, how to get rid of them, and how to deal with issues in cultivation. Being clear about the principles of Dafa, I put away my attachments to the illness, and concentrated solely on Dafa, not thinking of anything else. In the physical examination that the company held for us in April 2008, they found that the tumor had disappeared and I was totally normal. The wonder of Dafa strengthened my confidence on the journey in my cultivation. I thank the great Teacher.
