Practitioner Mr. Zhou Wenxuan in Yongzhou City, Hunan Province Arrested Again

(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Zhou Wenxuan, a practitioner in Yongzhou City, Hunan Province, has been unlawfully sent to forced labor camps three times. He suffered severe injuries from being beaten in the labor camp and was taken home. However, the Yongzhou City police took him back into custody on May 3, 2008, despite the fact that he has not recovered yet. The police have been physically abusing Mr. Zhou around the clock. Two officers have been assigned each shift to torture him, and he has been subjected to sleep deprivation for several days now.

Mr. Zhou Wenxuan is around 40 years of age and is an employee of the Lengshuitan Industrial and Commercial Agency in Yongzhou City. He started practicing Falun Dafa in 1997 and has suffered repeated persecution since July 20, 1999, when the persecution started, because of his firm belief.

In 2000, Mr. Zhou spent over 40 days walking on foot from Yongzhou City, Hunan Province to Beijing to tell the government the facts about Falun Dafa. In December 2000, he was arrested and taken to a labor camp.

In August 2002, just a few months after being released from the labor camp, Mr. Zhou was again taken into custody. He was released in Spring of 2003. In December 2003, Mr. Zhou was unlawfully sentenced to eighteen months of forced labor. While in custody, he was brutally beaten by the police. He suffered severe injuries to the head and needed thirteen stitches. Mr. Zhou went on a hunger strike for over a month protesting the police brutality. Despite his extremely weak physical condition, he was taken to the Xinkaipu Forced Labor Camp in Changsha City, Hunan Province. Mr. Zhou refused to give up his belief, however. After dinner on May 26, 2004, when several hundred people were gathered in the courtyard in the center of the labor camp buildings for a roll call, Mr. Zhou shouted, "Falun Dafa is great!" In 2005, he was released.

In July 2006, Mr. Zhou was taken to the Xinkaipu Forced Labor Camp in Changsha City to serve a two-year term. This was the third time that he had been sent to a forced labor camp. On May 15, 2007, in a meeting called for by the labor camp guards to attack Falun Gong, Mr. Zhou shouted "Falun Dafa is great!" The guards dragged him to Section C, viciously beat him and then locked him in isolation.

Nine days later, Mr. Zhou was transferred to Section A. Two weeks later, he was suffering internal bleeding in the stomach. His family was notified to come and take him home. Before Mr. Zhou fully recovered from the injuries he sustained in the labor camp, the Yongzhou City police took him into custody again on May 3, 2008.
