My acquaintances all talk about Divine Performing Arts

Ms. Wang and her three children at the Chinese Spectacular in Edmonton

Ms. Wang brought along her three children to attend the Chinese Spectacular. She commented on the performance, "The standard is high! The promotion of the show was very good, and the advertisement was beautiful and outstanding. My acquaintances all talked about this show! The politicians here are quite supportive, the influence of Divine Performing Arts is great. I believe many more people will come to see it."

Ms Wang thought that the costumes, backdrop, the music, dancing and vocal solos were excellent, "Particularly the tenor and soprano had a high caliber, really first-class, high-standard art will be warmly received anywhere it goes. The innovation of the performance is also cool. Turning the story of Chang'e flying to the moon into a dance performance - the design was ingenious."

Ms. Wang attended the Chinese Spectacular at the recommendation of her friend.

When talking about the program depicting the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in mainland China, Ms. Wang said, "I came to Canada in 1989. Though I know little about Falun Gong, I think the persecution is wrong. Belief is a fundamental human right."

"Divine Performing Arts is indeed good for children"

"My friend told me that Divine Performing Arts is particularly good for children. It is really true! I brought along my children to let them be exposed to the Chinese culture," Ms. Xu told the reporter during the intermission.

"My friend's child did not want to speak Chinese, nor did he watch Chinese programs, and also refused to accept Chinese culture. Last year he saw the performance of Divine Performing Arts, and generated interest in Chinese culture, and started learning Chinese from his parents. My friend was so happy and made a phone call to me and asked me to bring along my children for the show. I just finished seeing the first half of the show, and found it to be so good, all my children loved watching it."

"I often pray for Falun Gong practitioners."

Ms. Yang and her father Mr. Huang at the Chinese Spectacular in Edmonton

Ms. Yang and her father Mr. Huang attended the Chinese Spectacular for the first time. They were very excited and told the reporter after the show, "We were delighted tonight, the performance was very very good, perfect! Using singing and dancing to present gods and Buddhas, it is very good, exhilarating! I believe in God, and also that good and evil will receive its due retribution. I have learned about the persecution of Falun Gong in China and I'm sympathy for them, I often pray for them and pray for China."

Overseas Chinese student: The performance is very powerful

Overseas Chinese student Ms. Wang was delighted to be able to see such a good performance abroad. She said, "The dancing was really good! I can see that the performers were well trained!"

Mr. Bai who just came to Canada a year ago said, "The performance had thick Chinese flavor, very powerful! The performance 'Drummers of the Tang Court' presented men's masculinity, very exciting! I liked it so much! Girls' dancing, perfectly presented Eastern women's feminine beauty, very charming, particularly, the dance number 'Water Sleeves', it's terrific! The music is beautify, and the scenery of Jiangnan area is also beautiful."
