Flushing, New York: Voices of Justice from Local Chinese Residents By Kerry Huang and Qing Su in New York
(Clearwisdom.net) On May 17, 2008, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)
started blatantly fanning hatred by hiring hooligans and mobs to besiege and
assault Falun Gong practitioners in Flushing, New York. Since then, Falun Gong
practitioners and volunteers working at the Service Center for Quitting the CCP
have strengthened their efforts of truth clarification to the public, and have
increased the number of service centers from one to five. With the stark
contrast between kindness and evil, more and more people have sent out voices of
justice, expressing their support for Falun Gong and the grand trend for
quitting the CCP and its affiliated organizations, and condemned the CCP
atrocities. Loving the Country Does not Mean Loving the CCP On June 7, this reporter met with Queens resident Mr. Zhang on the street.
Mr. Zhang said that he has been in the U.S. for 35 years, and often comes to the
bank in Flushing to conduct business. He said on May 17, when taking his
grandson to school and passing by the Flushing library, he happened to see a
large crowd of Chinese people from mainland China surrounding the Service Center
for Quitting the CCP. In the crowd, some people held small five-star flags, and
were shouting and yelling, and making obscene gestures. Mr. Zhang felt that
these people were organized. His wife was afraid of getting involved in trouble,
and dragged him away. Mr. Zhang was outraged by these people's behavior. He told the reporter,
"Why did so many people come to make trouble right after the earthquake
occurred in China? The CCP plotted this incident behind the scenes. You can see
clearly at a glance that these people have just recently came to the U.S, and
are organized. They may be ignorant or seek benefits, or be instigated." Mr. Zhang said that the U.S. is a democratic society, and that everyone
should see things clearly and listen to differing opinions. Some of his friends
didn't recognize Falun Gong. He often discussed this with them, and later found
that those people mistakingly regard China as the CCP, and regard loving the
country as loving the CCP, and their national sentiments are exploited by the
CCP. They are confused by the CCP's propaganda. Mr. Zhang continued by saying that Chinese people--are they people of the CCP
or the people of China? The troublemakers are pitiful, as they don't know who
they are defending, the CCP or China. It's clear now that many people in
Flushing are from mainland China, and they have long been brainwashed and formed
a notion that "the CCP is my motherland, and the CCP is everything for
me." They don't actually know that the CCP has done great harm to them. One time when Mr. Zhang passed by and saw Falun Gong practitioners in
Flushing being attacked, he said a couple of fair words for Falun Gong. As a
result, someone in the crowd kicked him twice. He thought that the CCP
accomplices shouted love for the country but what they love is the country ruled
by the CCP. There is an organization behind the scenes from whom they may have
obtained benefits (the Chinese Consulate). Those people are poor, miserable and
hateful. Mr. Zhang also expressed his admiration for Falun Gong practitioners, who do
not fight back when hit or cursed. Peng Keyu, the Chinese Consul General in New York Should be Sued Flushing resident Mr. Wang told the reporter that since it is known that the
Chinese Consulate plotted and stirred up these violent incidents, the Service
Center for Quitting the CCP should file a lawsuit against Chinese Consul General
Peng Keyu. By doing so, the American government and people can learn what the
CCP is doing here in the U.S. Peng Keyu should be sued, and before the trial,
the court should issue an order prohibiting him from fleeing. Mr. Wang said, "Gods bless China, gods will eliminate the CCP." The
volunteers working at the Service Centers for Quitting the CCP have helped
people learn the facts that the CCP has destroyed, and altered Chinese history
and culture, and the CCP is deceiving the people. The volunteers helped people
learn that joining the Party and its affiliated organizations will do them no
good at all. After quitting the CCP, they will no longer be accomplices of the
CCP in harming people. Mr. Wang said that the CCP started its regime by fighting and struggling. The
CCP instigated people to fight against their brothers and sisters, leading to
the loss of kindness among people. The Cultural Revolution, specifically, not
only destroyed Chinese traditional culture, but also destroyed human culture.
Human culture is focused on human relations, and is family-centered. The CCP has
made people distrust others, and China therefore has lost its moral conduct as a
whole. Later generations will have no idea what their ancestors were like. The
CCP deliberately covered up, destroyed and changed ancient Chinese culture, and
later generations do not know how good China was. The CCP has destroyed the
roots of Chinese people and Chinese culture. Mr. Wang continued by saying that there indeed exists a law of cause and
effect. He said he hopes that gods will eliminate the CCP, the quicker the
better, because if it is prolonged, people will suffer more disasters. But the
key is that today's people should be awakened themselves. The CCP has run
rampant for decades, and persecuted many Chinese people. Now is the time for
people to awaken, and stand up against the evil CCP. The service centers for
quitting the CCP help people learn the CCP's real nature, and inspire people's
kindness. "Falun Gong is still here, and justice is still here" Mr. Mai saw volunteers from the service centers for quitting the CCP handing
out The Epoch Times newspapers. He took a copy and had a conversation
with a volunteer. Speaking of the recent incidents in which mobs besieged and
assaulted Falun Gong practitioners, Mr. Mai expressed disdain for the indecent
behavior and lowly demeanor of the attackers. He said many Falun Gong
practitioners are highly-educated, they are philosophers, literati and artists
and so on, they are reasonable when discussing problems. How about those
attackers? They are only able to yell derogatory slogans, and make obscene
gestures. Some women and young people even made indecent gestures, which he
found truly disgusting. A Falun Gong practitioner said that a CCP accomplice threatened to kill him,
but when the practitioner took out his camera, the mobster ran away. Mr. Mai
said that if he were the practitioner, he would not take the picture first. He
would catch him first and then report him to the police. This was a
death-threat, which is illegal in the U.S. Mr. Mai knows a man who got involved in besieging and attacking Falun Gong
practitioners and was arrested by the police. Mr. Mai called that person on the
phone, and said, "How do you feel now? You got arrested and fined, so you'd
better go to the Chinese Consulate to get reimbursed for the fine, and see if
they will take care of you. How silly you are for doing such things!" Days ago, Mr. Mai said to some people who had participated in attacking Falun
Gong practitioners, "Look, who wins now? Falun Gong is still here, justice
is still here, how about you?" Posting date: 6/10/2008
