Exposing the Crimes Committed in the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp

(Clearwisdom.net) On May 7, 2008, all detainees of Masanjia Labor Camp were forced to have their blood drawn; they were not given any explanation as to why. Ms. Wang Chunying is a Falun Gong practitioner. Because she refused to cooperate with the guards, they forcibly dragged her away, ripping her clothing. Ms. Wang tried to clarify the truth to them, and asked them to stop forcibly drawing blood from Falun Gong practitioners. Wang Yanping, the head of the management department, Li Mingyu, the department chief, Zhao Jinghua and Zhai Yanhui, the secretaries, and Xiang Kuili and Wang Xiuju, the captains, etc., a total of eight guards, and a doctor and nurse from Masanjia Labor Camp hospital, forcibly pressed her on the bed. Ms. Wang shouted, "Falun Dafa is good; Truthfulness Compassion Tolerance is good; whoever persecutes Falun Dafa will receive retribution." Wang Yanping said, "I am not afraid of it. Put my name on the Minghui/Clearwisdom website." Wang Yanping grasped a pillow and shoved it onto her face to choke her. Ms. Wang was struggling and shouting even more loudly. After a few tries, the guards didn't succeed. In the end, they had to handcuff her to the bed, and forcibly drew five milliliters of blood from her. Ms. Wang's face turned red as the result of the choking, and the back of her palm was also injured. Many Falun Gong practitioners were violently forced to have their blood drawn, and Chen Liying was also one of them.

From May 9, the Masanjia Labor Camp engaged in the so-called "Double-hundred Strike Hard Order," which will last until October. The guards planned to intensify the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners during this period of time. Practitioners have to finish their hard-labor assignments on schedule, otherwise, they will be beaten, or their prison terms will be extended. Li Mingyu instigated someone surnamed Chen to beat up practitioners who didn't finish their assignments. She also threatened, "Those who don't finish their task on time will taste my electric baton." The head of the team often helped the guards do the beating. In order to coerce detainees to make money for them, the guards in Masanjia would do anything to persecute them.

On May 13, Ms. Li Jun, a Falun Gong practitioner who was illegally detained in the Second Battalion, went on hunger strike to protest her persecution. She was then handcuffed and taken away and shocked with electric batons. Guards who were involved in the persecution of her included Wang Shuzeng, Zhang Yu, Yan Shun, Ren Huaiping, etc.

Since May 14, all Falun Gong practitioners and instructors have been forbidden to watch the news. The guards said they didn't want them to know about the earthquake calamity.

On May 15, the guards suddenly asked all detainees to clean up their rooms. They told them that provincial officials had come to inspect their facilities. Falun Gong practitioners who had been handcuffed and tortured were hidden by the guards so the provincial officials wouldn't see them. In order to smooth the inspection, Li Mingyu silenced the instructors by giving them a carton of cigarettes, and threatened them, "Whoever tells the truth, her term will be extended by one month." Outsiders who go to inspect the Masanjia Labor Camp can only see a false image.

Additionally, the guards in Masanjia Labor Camp forced 40 detainees, including more than 10 Falun Gong practitioners, to do hard labor in a food factory. There was a lot of work there. They had to work from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. They made stewed eggs, chicken and pork with soy sauce. The guards imposed greater workloads on Falun Gong practitioners.
