(Clearwisdom.net) Editors' note: In both Western and Chinese cultures, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward acts that are in harmony with this principle, while doing things such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they, too, be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.

According to security personnel at the Huangheng Mining Corporation (formerly known as the Wennan Mine), retired security employee Zhang Chuanyu, around 50 years old, died on May 14, 2008, on his way to go shopping.

People that worked at the Huangheng Mining Corporation knew that Zhang Chuanyu had been actively persecuting Falun Gong practitioners since the persecution started in 1999. He participated in ransacking the homes and property of practitioners, as well as arresting, beating, and brainwashing them. From time to time, Zhang also harassed practitioners that worked at the company. For example, in December 2001, Zhang led others to arrest three practitioners for distributing truth-clarification materials, including Ms. Ren Zhiling, Ms. Niu Rongtian, and Ms. Wang Anying. Two days later, these three practitioners were sent to the Second Women's Forced Labor Camp in Jinan City, Shandong Province, and detained there for 50 days (80 days for Ren Zhiling). Each practitioner was fined twice, which totaled 6,000 yuan for each person, and they were not given a receipt. Even after they were released, Zhang often went to their homes to harass them.

Zhang knew that Falun Gong is good. In fact, he brought copies of the audiotapes of the lectures and exercise music home for his mother to practice.

On January 18, 2006, Huangheng Mining was taking stock of expired explosives. After an explosion, Zhang retired early. This year, Zhang spent a lot of effort building a house in his hometown, Zhaojia Village in Wennan Town. On May 14, while riding a bike to do some shopping on Wennan Street, Zhang suddenly felt very weak. He vomited and had diarrhea. He immediately stopped the bike and laid by the road. He asked for help from a passerby, who notified his family. When family members arrived, Zhang was already dead, and his cell phone and belongings had been taken.

Falun Dafa is spreading all over the world and has benefited tens of millions of people. While so many people have benefited from practicing or having a positive attitude towards Dafa, there are still people who will not listen. Zhang knew Dafa is good, but still participated in persecuting practitioners and has now died.
