Liaoning Women's Prison Brutally Persecutes Practitioner Ms. Yang Hong

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Yang Hong from Huludao City of Liaoning Province was sentenced to nine years of imprisonment and then illegally detained in Section 1 of Liaoning Women's Prison. Because she refused to abandon her faith in Falun Gong, Ms. Yang was cruelly tortured. She has cuts and bruises covering her entire body and serious internal injuries.

At around 6:00 a.m. on February 25, 2008, Yang Hong was arrested in Gangtun by the people from the Liaoning Provincial Public Security Bureau, Huludao Municipal Public Security Bureau, Lianshan Branch of Huludao Municipal Public Security Bureau, and Gangtun Police Station. She was sentenced without trial to nine years imprisonment. Her family was not informed after she was detained for three months at Huludao Municipal Detention Center. She was transferred to Section 1 of Liaoning Women's Prison on May 22.

Yang Hong became extremely weak physically after more than three months on a hunger strike to protest her illegal detention. She received transfusions and was force-fed. She spit up yellow fluid from her stomach and couldn't stop burping, preventing nasal tubes from being inserted. Her weight dropped from 140 pounds to only 60 pounds.

Yang Hong did not obey any of the demands or orders of the prison officials. She refused to wear a prison uniform, refused to do physical labor and refused to write an affidavit. She kept shouting, "Falun Dafa is good! Belief is not a crime!" She was cruelly beaten in the women's prison, which resulted in severe injuries all over her body. Her hair was pulled out in clumps, and even laying her head down on a pillow was terribly painful. Her teeth became loose and her lips were split and covered with blisters. Her face, neck and hands were covered in scratches and traces of hand prints showed on her face. The heels of her feet were stamped on relentlessly by prisoners, causing her feet to swell up and turn black and blue. When meeting with her family members, she was supported by two prisoners, Wang and Jiang Liyan.

Yang Hong was so cruelly tortured after a few days in the women's prison that her family was genuinely concerned for her life.
