New Zealand: Patiently Explaining the Facts Resolves a Disturbance in front of the Chinese Embassy in Auckland

(Clearwisdom.net) On the morning of May 22, 2008, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Cao and other practitioners held a peaceful appeal in front of the Chinese Embassy in Auckland, New Zealand as usual. As soon as they set up banners and started to practice the exercises, a Chinese man in his thirties came and yelled at them, saying, "Why do you still stand here? Now it is a disastrous time for China, can you quit for a few days?"

Mr. Cao said gently, "We all feel pain over the earthquake in Sichuan. But how come the disaster occurred? You may not know. In earlier years, an expert continuously advised concerned departments before his death, 'There are more than sixty dams in Sichuan Province. Don't construct the Three Gorges Reservoir and power station since they will lead to ecological imbalance and disasters.' In addition, on April 26 and 27, 2008, earthquake forecast specialist Geng Qingguo of the 'Natural Disaster Forecast Committee' of the Chinese Association of Earth Physics projected that there would be an earthquake over seven in scale in the Aba region within ten days around May 8. There were also rumors in Sichuan that there would be an earthquake. But the CCP regime did not publicize the predictions, citing so-called "stability". The Sichuan government even denounced the predictions by saying there would be no earthquake and told people not believe the rumors. As a consequence, when the earthquake occurred in Sichuan, it caused many deaths. It has nothing to do with Falun Gong!"

The man still yelled, "Are you Chinese people? If you are, don't stand here these days!" Mr. Cao said patiently, "Do you know the essence of Chinese traditional culture? Falun Gong's principle is 'Truth-Compassion-Tolerance'. Is it consistent with Chinese culture's essence?" The man agreed and said, "I agree with Falun Gong!"

Mr. Cao said, "At this disastrous time, the CCP slanders Falun Gong again to incite hatred. Thus we must stand here to explain the facts. We have been here for more than seven years. As soon as the CCP stops the persecution of Falun Gong, we will stop standing here."

Mr. Cao pointed at the banner that read "Stop inciting hatred and stop the persecution of Falun Gong", and said, "This banner has been here for seven years. The CCP still incites hatred and carries out the persecution of Falun Gong. As long as it does not stop, we will continue standing here!"

The Chinese man asked in a mild tone, "Why don't you have [China's] flag fly at half mast to show that you mourn the earthquake victims?" Mr. Cao answered, "Do you know that the flag represents the CCP government? How can we have that flag fly at half mast?" The man became speechless.

Earlier a woman practitioner heard his yelling and told him, "If you continue yelling, I will call the police." The man did not listen, but continued yelling. The practitioner called the police and said there was interference from a spy. The man said angrily to Mr. Cao, "Look, she says I am a spy."

Mr. Cao said with a smile, "There are spies in the embassy. We don't care about their jobs. Our purpose of truth-clarification is to help them revive their humanity and conscience. You need to think over what I have said today and you'll benefit from it."

The man became understanding and asked, "Can I leave? You called the police. Should I wait for the police?" Mr. Cao said with a smile, "You can go if you want. We can take care of it. The important thing is that you think it over and understand the facts." The man shook hands with the practitioners and left after learning the facts.

On the next day, an old man in his eighties came and said to the practitioners "I saw the incident yesterday. I planned to come to help. But I saw that you handled it well, so I did not come. Otherwise, I would have come over to help you."
