Personnel from the Nongken Bureau Court in Shuihua City sentenced Mr. Zhao Shifeng from Xinzhao Town, Zhaoyuan County, Daqing City to five years in prison. He is being held in the Daqing City Prison.
The court agents also covertly sentenced Ms. Wang Yakun, Ms. Lu Xiuqin, Ms. Yue Shuli and Ms. Wei Yuqin, employees from the Zhaoyuan Farm, to five, three, two and one year, respectively. They are being held in the Harbin City Women's Prison.

Mr. Liu Zhenkuan from Beidaya Village, Yushugou Township, Fuyu City was arrested on the morning of May 26, 2008, because police found a picture of Master and some Dafa books in his home. The police first took him to the Xiaojia Police Station and then transferred him to the Fuyu City Police Department.

The arrest happened when Ms. Lin distributed Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials in Yuanhe Village, Landian Township. Police ransacked her home at 3:00 p.m. that day and then put Ms. Lin in the city detention center.

9. [Beijing] Practitioners Being Held in the Haidian District Detention Center
Seven policemen broke into Mr. Li Ren's home in the Haidian District, Beijing on the night of April 23, 2008. They arrested him and ransacked the place. Three other practitioners were arrested that day. One has been released while the other two and Mr. Li are being held in the district detention center.

The police arrested Ms. Fan Guoping from Changshou Street, the Putuo District in Shanghai on the afternoon of May 22, 2008. Ms. Fan was previously held in a forced labor camp between 2001 and March 2003.

Ms. Wang Hong, an employee from the Shouguang City Mafang Company, was dismissed from her job for her belief in Falun Dafa. Personnel from the 610 Office arrested her and confiscated 5,000 yuan and some Dafa books on May 21, 2008. Ms. Wang's whereabouts are unknown.

Personnel from the Industrial District Police Station in Shouguang City arrested a gentleman on the night of May 22, 2008 and took him to the district police station. The police later arrested 50-year-old Mr. Zhang at a hotel. Two female practitioners were also arrested.

Juchenghe Town Police Station deputy chief Wang Shuzi from Gaomi City arrested Ms. Zhang Meilan on the morning of April 26, 2008. The arrest happened when Ms. Zhang was distributing Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials. She is currently being held in the city detention center.

25. [Shandong Province] 610 Office Personnel Persecute Several Practitioners in Duozhuang Town, Mengyin County
The police harassed Mr. Duan Dedao twice, on May 21 and May 22, 2008.
Police officers harassed Mr. Liu Changrui, Mr. Yan Xuefu and Mr. Wang Jinming from Beiduozhuang Village, Ms. Liu Naimei from Xiduozhuang Village and a practitioner from Shihouwa Village on the night of May 22, 2008.
The police arrested Ms. Lu Xingying and tortured her during the night of May 22, 2008.
Police personnel broke into Ms. Feng Guiqin's home in Xiahe Village and arrested her husband Mr. Wang Deliang on the night of May 22, 2008. They also confiscated several Falun Gong books, a tape recorder, several exercise tapes and Falun Gong truth-clarification CDs.
Police officers broke into Mr. Wang Wanfa's home in Xiahe Village and confiscated a picture of Master and a tape recorder on the night of May 23, 2008.
The police broke into Ms. Shi Zengchun's home in Xiahe Village and confiscated a recorder at 8:00 p.m. on May 23, 2008.
26. [Rongcheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Meng Qinghua Arrested
Ms. Meng Qinghua lives in Fanjiazhuang Village, Xunshan Town, Rongcheng City. Personnel from the Qingyutan Police Station broke into Ms. Meng's home and arrested her on the morning of May 14, 2008. They put Ms. Meng in the city detention center and extorted 1,000 yuan from her. Her parents went to the detention center to request her release, but they were pushed out.

Mr. Li Zhifeng and his wife were released after being extorted out of 20,000 yuan. Mr. Li Mingxian had 10,000 yuan extorted and is being held in the city detention center.

Personnel from the Yuzhou City Domestic Security Division arrested Ms. Ma Zhanfang on the night of May 25, 2008.
Mr. Sun Guanzhou, an employee from the Yuzhou City Advanced Studies School, was arrested on March 3, 2008, and tortured to death within seven days after being detained.

The Kunshan City Court planned to hold a trial for Mr. Zhu Shiwang at 8:00 a.m. on May 28, 2008. Mr. Zhu is from Guangshan City, Henan Province. He has been held since November 2007.

Personnel from the Guancheng District Police Department arrested Ms. Guo Jianling on May 22, 2008. Police ransacked her home at 11:00 p.m. that day. They also arrested Ms. Yan Jing at 10:00 a.m. on May 26, 2008.
41. [Yuncheng City, Shanxi Province] Four Practitioners Arrested
Personnel from the Linyi County Police Department and from the 610 Office arrested Ms. Wang Cailian, Ms. Huang Guiyun, Ms. Huang Yuqing and Ms. Guizhen at 11:00 p.m. on May 24, 2008. They confiscated 400 yuan and other items from Ms. Wang's home. Ms. Wang is being held in the county detention center.

Ms. Xu Xiaoping was arrested and her home was ransacked on March 6, 2008. She was released in April and arrested again on May 22, 2008. Ms. Xu is being held at the Baimalong Women's Forced Labor Camp.
43. [Guang'an City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Tan Debi Arrested Again
Ms. Tan Debi, 60, from Sanxi Town, Wusheng County, Guang'an City was held in a brainwashing center for three months in 2002. She was sentenced to three years of forced labor in 2004. Ms. Tan was arrested again in May 2008 and is being held in the county detention center.

45. [Hunan Province] Police Arrest Ms. Zhang Min, a Retired Employee from the Zhongfang Credit Union in Huaihua City on May 22, 2008
46. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Xu Daoxiu Being Held in the Hewan Detention Center
Ms. Xu Daoxiu was arrested and has been held since March 31, 2008 in the Wuhan City No. 1 Women's Detention Center. Her family was informed that Ms. Xu was transferred to the city's Hewan Forced Labor Camp on May 9, 2008, but when they inquired about Ms. Xu in the detention center, officers said Ms. Xu was not held there.
47. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Police Arrest Many Practitioners
Personnel from the Shenzhen City 610 Office and from the Police Department arrested more than twenty practitioners during the period of April 25-28, 2008. The arrested practitioners included Mr. Zhang Yanbiao, Ms. Dong Lanlan, Ms. Li Juying, Ms. Wang Shulin, Ms. Wang Jing, Ms. Liang Yuhua, Ms. Wang Qin, Ms. Zheng, Ms. Tian, and Dr. Zhang. The police ransacked the homes of every practitioner. Ms. Li Juying, Ms. Wang Shulin and Ms. Wang Jing have since been released.

Personnel from the Chengxi Police Station arrested Ms. Jiang Yufen, 68, and Ms. Xu Qingyi, 64, from the Xindu District, Chengdu City on May 18, 2008. They are being held in the Xindu Detention Center.
49. [Qingyang City, Gansu Province] Ms. Li Zhanting Illegally Arrested
Ms. Li Zhanting from Wugou Township, Zhenyuan County, Qingyang City was reported to the police while distributing Falun Gong materials. She was illegally held at Zhenyuan County Detention Center on May 24, 2008, and is said to have been sentenced to 18 months of forced labor.

Mr. Guo Chuanshu was arrested while handing out Falun Gong flyers on May 24, 2008. He is now held at the Langshan Detention Center. He had only been released recently from a labor camp after being arrested last year for his belief.

Ms. Zhou Ling was arrested at home on May 27, 2008 and taken to the Huaihua City 610 Office.

Ms. Deng Manxiang and Ms. Gui Youyun were arrested at home on May 23 and May 24, 2008.
53. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Persecution of Mr. Wen Juping and Others
Mr. Wen Juping, who worked at the No. 354 Factory in Shiling Town, Chengdu City, Mr. Yang Zuxiang, Mr. Zhang Zhijun and several other practitioners were followed and arrested by the police when installing loudspeakers [that would broadcast truth-clarifying information about Falun Gong] in Suining City on November 29, 2004. They were held at the Suining City Detention Center. The Suining City Court sentenced Zhang Zhijun to 14 years in prison and Wen Juping to ten-and-a-half years in prison on February 22, 2006. They were first held at Yaan Prison, where Zhang Zhijun died as a result of persecution on February 23, 2008.

Ms. Chen Jing from Situn Village, Xianghuang, Niujia Town was arrested on May 22, 2008.
55. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Several Falun Gong Practitioners Arrested
Liaoning Province Public Security Department officials arrested Mr. Wang Chaodong at his home on May 24, 2008. His wife Wei Yuhuan is under around-the-clock surveillance at their home.
Officials from the same security department also arrested Ms. Wei Yuhong and Mr. Xin Hongyuan around the same time.
Ms. Wang, an older practitioner, was arrested at her home, and practitioner Liu and his wife disappeared.
Mr. Chen Ye, Mr. Chen Lihui, Mr. Ma Bo, Mr. Zhao Zhanbo and another practitioner were arrested at Chen Ye's home in Santaizi, Shenyang City at around 7:20 a.m. on May 24, 2008. The police confiscated computer and printing equipment, and paper from Chen Ye's home.
Zhao Zhanbo was taken to the Shenyang City Police Department. The police confiscated his van from his workplace. Ms. Cao, also from Santaizi, and Ms. Zhao Guirong from the Huanggu District were also arrested that same day.

56. [Hulin City, Heilongjiang Province] 77-year-old Ms. Yu Tingchen Arrested
Ms. Yu Tingchen, 77, was followed and reported at 1:00 p.m. on May 18, 2008 while posting stickers with Falun Gong phrases on them. This led to her arrest in which three officers including Wang Meng from the No. 1 Police Department in Hulin City participated. Domestic Security Division agents including Zhai Qing and some other officials ransacked Yu Tingchen's home and took all of her Falun Gong books and extorted 1,000 yuan [$125 USD] from her son before releasing her.

Ms. Jiang Yabin from Liumao Jixi City was arrested on May 26, 2008 when she was working in a field. Participating in the arrest were officers from the Liumao Township Police Department. The police ransacked her home and took A4 paper, printer(s) and computer(s).

Ms. Tian Guilan was arrested at 10:00 a.m. on May 26, 2008.

Officers from Taonan City Police Department Domestic Security Division, along with local police officers arrested Ms. Feng Shuying from Taonan City. They dragged her from her home and ransacked it at 11:00 a.m. on May 25, 2008. Ms. Feng is currently held at the Tala Detention Center in Daxing, Baicheng City.

Ms. Qi Huishu and Ms. Li Qinyun were arrested on May 24, 2008.
67. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Four Practitioners Arrested
Officers from Muniu Township, Xiuyan County, Anshan City broke into a practitioner's home and interrogated four practitioners who were present. Two practitioners left safely with the power of their righteous thoughts, while the two other practitioners were arrested. At the same time, police ransacked the home of another practitioner and arrested two additional practitioners. The police took computers, printers, and VCD burners, among other things, worth 20,000 yuan.

Liu Dongling successfully got away when secret agents accosted Ms. Liu. Her current whereabouts are unknown.

Mr. Wang Jianhua's home was ransacked on May 22, 2008. He has lived away from home to avoid further persecution.
73. [Nanchong City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Du Guihua and Ms. He Maofang Arrested
Ms. Du Guihua and Ms. He Maofang from Group 4, No. 7 Village, Longchi Township, Datong Town, Jialing District, Nanchong City were reported for explaining facts about Falun Gong. It happened during the morning of May 13, 2008. Officers from the Datong Police Station arrested them. They are now held at the Jialing District Detention Center.
