Ms. Ma Yong'an Dies from Torture at the Sanshui Labor Camp in Guangdong Province

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Ma Yong'an, 60, was from Hongmiao Village, Guohe Town, Xiantao City, Hubei Province. She was recently living in Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province with her child. In September 2007, she was arrested while passing out truth clarifying materials in a supermarket, and was taken to the Sanshui Women's Labor Camp after being sentenced to one year of forced labor. One day in April 2008, she vomited up white bubbles after a meal. The Labor Camp doctor had a nurse collect three tubes of blood from her for testing. Guards brought her a bucket of water and wanted her to drink it. Ms. Ma passed out right after drinking the water. Several days later, one of the guards notified her family to pick her up. She died less then one month after returning home, on May 23, 2008.

Ms. Ma used to have all sorts of sicknesses and could not do household chores. After beginning Falun Dafa cultivation in the spring of 1997, all of her illnesses went away. She was detained seven times after the persecution started, simply because she wanted to be a good person according to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. She was twice placed in a detention center, three times in brainwashing centers, once in a town government office, and once in a brainwashing session held by the Xiantao City Industrial and Trade Bureau. She endured brutal torture during her periods of detention.

In April 2000, Ms. Ma was detained at the Xiantao City First Detention Center for 24 days.

In August 2001, Guohe Town Police Station Director Ma led officer Li Xiongbing and others to take Ms. Ma from her home. They detained her in the Xiantao City Second Detention Center for more than one month. Then they took her to a brainwashing session held in Xinlirenkou Town.

During the brainwashing session, Xiantao City 610 Office Director He Guohua ordered four people to closely monitor Ms. Ma. She went on a hunger strike for 19 days and became extremely weak. On October 1, 2001, guard Xu Bo dragged her down a flight of stairs. On the way down, he picked her up, and when he dropped her, her head struck the ground. Ms. Ma passed out from the impact.

On October 3, 2001, He Guohua ordered Ms. Ma to do military-style drills. She was too weak to run, so they forced her to walk around the grounds. A tall guard named Hong Gang, wearing a pair of leather boots, held Ms. Ma's right hand away from her body and then kicked her in the ribs. Ms. Ma crumpled to the ground. Guards then dragged her around the basketball court, tearing up her clothes in the process. Ms. Ma's mind went blurry due to the torture, and she was in critical condition. The guards were afraid she might die there, so they released her.

In April 2002, Xiantao City 610 Office agents Hu Meisheng and others came to Ms. Ma's home to harass her. On August 12, 2003, Guohe Town 610 Office agent Xie Xianyou and officer Li Xiongbing from the Guohe Town Police Station led a group of plainclothes officers to arrest Ms. Ma from her home. They detained her in the Ma'gang Brainwashing Center, where she went through inhumane torture again. She went on a hunger strike for four days to protest and was force-fed twice.

On May 26, 2004, Xiantao City 610 Office agents Hu Meisheng and Wu Yongxiang led 6-7 officers and came to Ms. Ma's home again. They said that they would be taking her to a provincial brainwashing center. She had to leave home at that point to avoid being arrested again.
