Mr. Ding Xuesen Illegally Detained at Jiamusi Railroad Detention Center

(Clearwisdom.net) On June 23, 2008, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Ding Xuesen from Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province was interrogated without just cause by Chen Wannian, a Chinese Communist Party (CCP) agent from the Jiamusi City Police Department. Mr. Ding was then illegally detained at the Jiamusi Railroad Police Division. That same night, he was sent to the Jiamusi Railroad Detention Center.

This incident began around 9:00 a.m. on June 23, 2008, when Chen Wannian, a member of the "Anti-Falun Gong Division" from the Jiamusi Police Department, went to the Jiamusi Railroad Police Division to secretly meet with people who were responsible for persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. At the time, Mr. Ding Xuesen happened to be there. Acting out of suspicion, Chen Wannian took Mr. Ding into custody for interrogation. The practitioner was then detained at the Jiamusi Railroad Police Division. They also confiscated Mr. Ding's two cell phones.

That same afternoon, after Mr. Ding's mother heard that he had been detained, she immediately went to the Jiamusi Railroad Police Division to demand his release. Yang Ruhua, who participates in persecuting Falun Gong, met with Mr. Ding's mother. At the beginning, Yang pretended to be considerate. He tried hard to get information about any practitioners who have had contact with Mr. Ding. When he saw that Mr. Ding's mother was refusing to cooperate, Yang Ruhua derided her. Mr. Ding's mother did not get to see her son. When she left the Jiamusi Railroad Police Division, she was followed by agents. The same night, Mr. Ding was taken to the Jiamusi Railroad Detention Center.

On the morning of June 24, officers ransacked Mr. Ding's house and took away his business cards. These same perpetrators went to Mr. Ding's office and tried to find further excuses to substantiate their wanton persecution.

After Mr. Ding was detained at the Jiamusi Railroad Police Division, pedestrians passing by the gate were questioned about what they were doing there. When people came to visit, they were questioned and registered as well. This exemplifies the guilty conscience of the perpetrators.

In 2001, the Communist regime obtained the right to hold the Olympics. Since that time it has given many orders to intensify human rights violations and the persecution of Falun Gong. On February 19, 2008, the Central Political and Judiciary Committee issued secret orders in the form of a document titled "Suggestions for Maintaining Social Stability and Ensuring the Safety of the Olympics." The document essentially orders Party authorities around the country to "intensively deal with problems," and to "severely crack down on Falun Gong" between March and September of 2008. The Jiamusi City Police Department's organizations followed the orders right away and have been secretly planning to escalate the persecution. Recently, they ordered all local police to keep their cell phones on 24 hours a day and be ready to strike at any time. The recent arrests and detention of practitioners in Jiamusi City are all related to this.

Chen Wannian, a police officer in the Domestic Security Division of the Jiamusi City Police Department, has been arresting and extorting money from many practitioners. This has inflicted enormous physical, mental, and financial harm on practitioners and their families. When Chen Wannian arrests practitioners, his procedure is to: (1) Plant fabricated "evidence" and make arrests; (2) After the arrests, apply brutal torture, to the brink of death, and force the practitioners to admit to the fabricated "evidence;" (3) After the torture, notify the family and extort money from them in order to secure a release. Otherwise, beat the practitioners to death.
