The Netherlands: Introducing Falun Dafa in Apeldoorn (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) Apeldoorn is a large city in the middle of the Veluwe, which is a nature area in the Dutch province of Gelderland.

Just like many other Dutch cities, Apeldoorn also has friendly contacts with a couple of partner cities. One is the city of Burlington in Canada, and with Yichang in China, she signed an agreement primarily based on economic co-operation.

Apeldoorn is a well known tourist attraction and during the summertime many tourists, especially from Germany come to visit. This was sufficient reason for Dutch Falun Gong practitioners to hold an information day in this city and clarify the truth to the people about what is happening in China with Falun Gong practitioners for the last 9 years. On this remarkable sunny day, many people wanted to go out. Those people that passed the display banners and took a good look at the means of torture, showed many emotions. Surprisingly, many young people and children stopped and asked questions about the Falun Gong exercises, the human rights violations in China and wanted to sign the petition too. An active member of Amnesty International told that he already knew everything about the brutal reality of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). He admired practitioners who time and time again make efforts for persecuted Falun Gong practitioners in China. When he left the petition table after a long talk, he said, "You are a strong community, good luck."

Some passersby were very interested in the exercises. Some said they already found information in the library or the bookshop. They were inspired by the spiritual principles of Falun Gong. Children found the exercises interesting. One little boy with a Dutch Antilles origin was fascinated, looking at the meditation exercise. As soon as he found out it was okay to join the practitioner sitting there, he jumped forward, sat down in meditation position and folded his hands together.
