Teacher Did Not Give Up on Me

One spring day in 2004, I ran into a fellow practitioner I hadn't seen for a long time. She told me about her experiences, which I would like to share.

After the Chinese Communist Party began the persecution of Falun Gong, she gave up cultivation under pressure from her employer. In the summer of 2003, her husband died of cancer and she was diagnosed with diabetes. She couldn't fall asleep at night and had to rely on insulin injections every day. Surviving on just a retirement pension, she could hardly get by. The severe financial and psychological burden nearly made her collapse. One night she suddenly thought of Teacher, so she took out Teacher's photo and begged Teacher to help her. That night she had a sound sleep and her whole body felt very light. However, she wasn't able to completely give up medical treatment, so she had another insulin injection. But after the injection, she felt very uncomfortable. She then realized she should believe in Teacher 100 percent. She threw away all the medicines and calmed down to study the Fa and practice the exercises. She was almost bald from taking all kinds of medications, but now she has some dark hair on her head! She said to me with tears in her eyes, "Teacher did not give up on me. I have no reason not to be diligent."

Another practitioner I know runs a small business. In 2001 she was detained after stepping forward to validate the Fa. Out of fear, she stopped cultivation after being released. In the summer of 2004, her health went downhill. One day she spit up a small basin of blood. When she went for a check up, she was told she had advanced stage lung cancer. It was a heavy blow to her whole family. They went to borrow money for her hospitalization. She thought about how poor her family was and how her child needed money for an education and decided to beg Teacher for help. In the middle of the night she got up and found Zhuan Falun and began reading. She told herself she couldn't afford to make a mistake again. Her family got the money ready and wanted to take her to the hospital. She firmly rejected the offer. Her younger brother knelt down in front of her, "Sister, don't you want to live?" She told her brother, "No worries. I have my Teacher to protect me." She persisted in studying the Fa and practicing the exercises, paying no attention to her illness. Her health improved day by day. A subsequent examination indicated that everything had returned to normal. Her husband witnessed the miracle of Dafa. From then on, he tried his best to help with the family business, sparing more time for her to cultivate. When she met me, she said excitedly, "Teacher did not give up on me. I must listen to Teacher and do the three things well."
