(Clearwisdom.net) On July 20, 2008, at 7:00 p.m., New Zealand Falun Gong practitioners gathered in front of the Chinese Consulate in Auckland to hold a candlelight vigil. They commemorated the fellow practitioners in China who have died as a result of the persecution in the past nine years since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) launched a persecution campaign against Falun Gong.

In the cold winter rain and wind, practitioners solemnly and silently sat in meditation. People in vehicles passing by seemed to feel the practitioners' uncompromising spirit and honked their horns to express support.
