Update on the Arrest of Five Falun Dafa Practitioners from Mishan in Heilongjiang Province

(Clearwisdom.net) On June 2, 2008, two practitioners, Mr. Liu Jinglu and his wife Sun Yuxiang, from Mishan City, Heilongjiang Province, drove toward Zhuangxing Village, Taiping Township. They started clarifying the facts to the farmers who worked there. Someone reported them to the local Taiping Police Station. On hearing the news, the police officers rushed to the site, but Liu Jinglu and his wife had driven away. So the police officers called the personnel of Taiping Toll Station to intercept the couple. The couple was taken to the Taiping Police Station.

Police officers from the Mishan National Security Team and the National Security Team of Jixi City Police Department tortured the two Dafa practitioners throughout the night.

On the morning of June 3, Mr. Liu Jinglu was forced to bring the police to the warehouse he runs and the garage at his home. The police officers took all of the Liu household's valuables. They made a mess of the bedroom and stole a bankbook with 280,000 yuan, and thousands of yuan in cash. They also arrested practitioners Xu Cuihong and Zhang Xuechen, who were passing by his house.

On the morning of June 5, police officer Liu Chunlei from the Mishan Fourth Police Station received a false accusation from Xinlu Village. He drove a car with two to three other officers to the home of Falun Dafa practitioner Zhou Ying's mother. They said that they needed to take Zhou Ying to the station for an inquiry. Her mother replied, "You can tell me what you need to ask right here." Liu said that he couldn't and that the matter was to be investigated at the police station. Zhou Ying tried to give her mother about 700 yuan from her pocket before leaving with the officers. Liu Chunlei said to Zhou Ying, "There's no need. After we finish investigating, you'll come back and may need the money for the bus tickets." Yet since Zhou Ying was taken away, she has not returned. Her family called many departments to try to find her whereabouts, but were always misled. No one will tell them where Liu Chunlei has taken her.
