(Clearwisdom.net) At noon on July 1, 2008, the Divine Land Marching Band, made up of Falun Gong practitioners, participated in the Canada Day parade in Montreal, Quebec to celebrate the 141st anniversary of Canada's founding. The spectators gave them warm applause along the route.

The about one hundred performers dressed in blue uniforms and marched down the main street in downtown Montreal. They performed "Falun Dafa is Good," "Fa Drums and Fa Trumpets," "The Fa Rectifies the Universe" and "Maple Leaf Forever."
All members of the Divine Land Marching Band are Falun Gong practitioners and follow the universal principles of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance" so their lives become beautiful and peaceful. They practice their music diligently and use the music to display beauty, peace and happiness to more people. Many spectators marched along with the band in rhythm and some took photos with the band members.
The Divine Land Marching Band was the last group of the parade, and many people were so happy and impressed that they surrounded and followed the band and marched in the streets. Many people were taking photos, videotaping the band and waving their hands.
One lady who immigrated to Canada in 2005 said she arrived late but saw the Divine Land Marching Band. She said the band was very good and the music was beautiful. She knew that the Chinese Communist Party is persecuting Falun Gong and she had a friend practicing Falun Gong in China who had his house ransacked, and was detained and demoted. She and some western friends came together to the parade. They wanted to learn more about Falun Gong so they took some fliers and said they would search for more information on the Internet.
Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Sun said that practitioners have been promoting Falun Gong and displaying its beauty with various methods over the past nine years.
