Additional Persecution News from China - July 29, 2008 (49 Reports)
(Clearwisdom.net) Today's report relates persecution incidents that
took place in 43 cities or counties in 11 provinces. 26 Falun Gong practitioners
were subjected to brutal mistreatment during detention, and at least 67
practitioners were illegally arrested. 1. [Shenyang, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhao Guoliang on Hunger Strike On July 23, the Huanggu District Procuratorate in Shenyang City
approved the arrests of the following Dafa practitioners and were considering
sentencing them: Dafa practitioners Mr. Zhao Guoliang, Mr. Cai Zongbin, a
practitioner surnamed Zheng, Ms. Wu Yefeng and Ms. Liu. Zhao Guoliang was
detained at the Sitaizi Detention Center. He started a hunger strike to protest
the persecution on July 24. Sitaizi Custodial Station in Shenyang City: 86-24-89247013 Wu Po, policeman from Yaming Police Station: 86-13940156978 2. [Tiaobingshan, Liaoning Province] Ms. Na Yuying Severely Tortured and Life
in Danger At about 3:00 p.m. on July 4, 2008, Zhang Fenglai and other policemen from
the Domestic Security Division in Tiaobinshan City followed and stopped
fifty-six-year-old Dafa practitioner Ms. Na Yuying while she was on her way
home. They forcibly checked her bag and found a copy of "Minghui Weekly".
They arrested her and sent her to the Domestic Security Division in Taiobinshan
City. At about 5:00 p.m., Zhang Fenglai led four other policemen to Na Yuyin's
home and searched the house. They confiscated a large quantity of personal
property. Na Yuying is currently detained at the detention center in Tiaobinshan
City. She has been tortured and had a heart attack. Her life is in danger. She
has been sent to hospital twice for emergency treatment. Domestic Security Division: 86-410-6992036 3. [Xianning, Hubei Province] Li Lihua and Two Other Practitioners Arrested On July 26, 2008, Dafa practitioners Ms. Li Lihua, Ms. Luo Ying and Ms. Yang
from Yanan District, Yanning City were arrested when they were clarifying
the truth to people and asking people to withdraw from the Chinese
Communist Party (CCP). 4. [Zhuhai, Guangdong Province] Ms. Zhong Xiaoling, Ms. Zhong Yanling and Ms.
Cai Hua Facing Illegal Sentences 5. [Xichang, Sichuan Province] Two Practitioners Arrested On the evening of July 24, 2008, practitioners Li and Zou who lived at 301
Residential Compound, Changan, were secretly arrested. The Domestic Security Division in Xichang City: 86-834-2164671-6896, Wu
Hongtie, Chief 610 Office in Xichang City (Now changed its name to "Municipal
Protection Stability Office": 86-834-3239667 (O) 6. [Yingchneg, Hubei Province] Several Practitioners Arrested and Homes
Searched On July 24, 2008, police from the local 610 Office, Police
Department and the Domestic Security Division in the Cheng District, Yingcheng
City, ransacked the homes of several Dafa practitioners. Mr. Cheng Desheng was
arrested and his home was searched. There is also information that Dafa
practitioners Ms. Hu Qiuping and elderly Ms. Zhao from Yingcheng City were

Detained in Shizuyuan, Gai District 8. [Panzhihua, Sichuan Province] Mr. Wen Yuechao Tortured Again At 10:30 a.m. on July 23, 2008, police from the Security Team of the Police
Department and from the Domestic Security Division in Panzhihua City transferred
practitioner Mr. Wen Yuechao from the Wanyaoshu Custodial Station to the Renhe
Police Department. Wen Yuechao was hung up and tortured for five hours. 9. [Kunyang, Yunnan Province] Practitioners Liu Yajing and Tang Jia Arrested On July 10, 2008, thirty-five-year-old Liu Yajing, previously employed by
Kunyang Tire Factory, and thirty-plus-year-old Tang Jia, an employee of Kunyang
Phosphate Fertilizer Plant, were arrested when they were giving out
truth-clarifying materials and clarifying the truth to people in the square.
They are currently detained at the County Detention Center. 10. [Nanning, Guangxi Province] Practitioners Yan Guining and Yang Arrested On July 26, Ms. Yan Guining and a practitioner named Yang were arrested when
they were clarifying the truth to people in Jiangxi Village, Nanning City. They
are currently detained at the Changgangling Detention Center in Nanning City. 11. [Chenxi County, Hunan Province] Additional Information on the Persecution
of Ms. Tang Yuhua and Ms. Huang Aiyu After Ms. Tang Yuhua and Ms. Huang Aiyu had been detained for fifteen days,
Tang Yuhua was sent to the County Detention Center and continued to be detained
there while Huang Aiyu was transferred to the Huaihua City Brainwashing Center. After July 20, 1999, both of them were persecuted several times. Tang Yuhua
was sentenced to three years in prison in 2002 and sent to Changsha Women's
Prison. She was not released until 2005. In September 2006 she was arrested
again and detained at the County Custodial Station for four months. His family
members were extorted out of a large sum of money before she was released. In
2001 Huang Aiyu was detained in the Baimalong Forced Labor Camp in Zhuzhou City
for one year. Zai Xiaoming, Director of the 610 Office: 86-13787556333 12. [Jinshi, Hunan Province] Mr. Zhen Mingli Arrested At 4:00 p.m. on July 24, 2008, officials from the 610 Office and police from
the local police station broke into the home of Mr. Zhen Mingli from Xinzhou
Town, Jinshi City and arrested him in the name of "protecting the stability
of the Olympics." They illegally searched his house and confiscated a large
quantity of truth-clarifying materials, the Minghui Weekly, Zhuan
Falun and other Dafa books. Mr. Zhen is currently detained at the
Jinshi Custodial Station. Jinshi Custodial Station: 86-736-4200172 13. [Xiangfan, Hubei Province] Mr. Chen Xinan Arrested Police from the Hanjiang Police Station arrested and detained Mr. Chen Xinan,
a staff member from the Hanjiang Mechanical Plant affiliated to the Xiangfan
Municipal Aeronautics and Space Bureau, at 8:00 p.m. on July 25, 2007. 14. [Wuhan, Hubei Province] Ms. He Yan Arrested Again On the morning of July 25, 2008, thirty-five-year-old He Yan, a music teacher
from the Dongxihu District Fourth School in Wuhan City, received a phone call
and was asked to go to school to work extra hours. She was arrested when she

86-27-83894173 (H), 86-13507117604 15. [Chongqing] Ms. Jiang Shihua Arrested On July 25, 2008, forty-plus-year-old Ms. Jiang Shihua and her nephew (a
non-practitioner) went to Huayanshi, Chongqing. At about 5:00 p.m., they were
arrested. Her nephew was released later on. Ms. Jiang is currently detained at
the Huayanshi Custodial Station. 16. [Xintian, Hunan Province] Ms. Deng Lingmin Arrested in Guangzhou On July 23, 2008, practitioner Ms. Deng Lingmin and her child were at her
brother's home. Five policemen from Xintian County arrested them and sent them
back to Xintian. 17. [Lezhi County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wu Honglian and Her Son Continue to
be Detained On July 22, 2008, police from the Police Department in Lezhi County arrested
Dafa practitioner Ms. Wu Honglian and her son Mr. Huang Lizhi (who just finished
high school). They are currently in detention. On the evening of July 22, police
ransacked their home and confiscated a computer and other property. 18. [Xinji, Hebei Province] Practitioners Ms. Han Fengmei and Ms. Fang Zhihua
Arrested on July 19 and 20, 2008 19. [Baoding, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Lianshu Arrested Again At about 1:00 p.m. on April 3, 2007, police from the Xiantai Police Station
and the local police station in Baoding arrested Dafa practitioner Ms. Li
Lianshu from Dacihan Village, Xiantai Township, Mancheng County, Baoding City.
They confiscated a laptop and a printer. Ms. Li has become homeless since then. The Xiantai Police Station: 86-312-7012202 20. [Shenzhen, Guangdong Province] Ms. Ye Wei Arrested Again and Sent to a
Brainwashing Center At the end of 2004, police from the 610 Office in Shenzhen arrested
practitioner Ms. Ye Wei and sent her to the Sanshui Women's Forced Labor Camp in
Guangdong Province where she was sentenced to three years in the labor camp.
Because she was very determined in her belief, she was detained for two extra
months after her sentence was expired. On March 13, 2008, Ms. Ye was supposed to
be released but police from the 610 Office in Shenzhen sent her directly to the
Brainwashing Center in Shenzhen from the Sanshui Forced Labor Camp. She has been
detained there for over four months. 21. [Wenling, Zhejiang Province] Mr. Lin Huiguo and Several Other
Practitioners Arrested In the name of security for the Olympics, police from the 610 Office in
Wenling City, the Domestic Security Brigade of the local Police Department and
the police station in Zeguo Town recently arrested eight Dafa practitioners.
They are Mr. Lin Huiguo, Mr. Lin Guilai, Mr. Qu Zeming, Ms. Yan Caixia, Mr. Shi
Guiming, Ms. Hong Misu, Ms. Sun Juqing and Mr. Ye Xinhen. Five practitioners
including Hong Misu were detained at the Wenling Custodial Station for one month
before they were released. Lin Huiguo, Shi Guiming and Ye Xinhen have been
detained at the Wenling Custodial Station. Lin Bo from the Domestic Security Brigade of the Police Department in Wenlin

of Clarifying the Truth, Has Been Released. Ms. Gao Fengzhi Illegally Sentenced
to Forced Labor 23. [Beijing] Ms. Li Fenglan Arrested Fifty-seven-year-old Dafa practitioner Ms. Li Fenglan lived at Mingxinyuan
Residential Compound in Dongguan, Changping County. On June 25, 2008, the local
police broke into her house while she was alone at home. They arrested her and
detained her at the local brainwashing center. They confiscated Dafa materials.
According to inside sources, three policemen from the 610 Office led Li Fenglan
and broke into her home again. The whereabouts of Ms. Li is unknown at the
moment. 24. [Changzhou, Jiangsu Province] Several Incidents of Arrests of Dafa
Practitioners Took Place in July According to incomplete information, several arrests of Dafa practitioners
happened in the Changzhou Area in July. Practitioners arrested included Ms. Chen
Yuehua at the Second Village of Xinqiao West in Zhonglou District on July 4, Ms.
Liu Linxiu at Anjiashe of the Xin District, Ms. Hong Di, Ms. Wu Haizhen, Ms.
Kong Jianfeng and three others on July 8, Ms. Chen Aiqin at Qnniashe of the Xin
District on July 18, Ms. He Huifeng and Xiao Jin in the middle of July. On the morning of July 27, officials from the Residential Committee and
police from the local police station arrested Ding Xuemei. They confiscated a
computer and Dafa books. Anjia Police Station of the Xinbei Police Department: 86-519-85971009 Xixinqiao Police Station of the Zhonglou Police Department: 86-519-86633013 25. [Chongqing] Ms. Zhang Feng Arrested and Her Whereabouts Unknown On July 24, 2008, police from the Lianglu Police Station at the Lianglu Town
arrested fifty-plus-year-old Zhang Feng from Lianglu Town, Yubei District,
Chongqing City in the name of "Welcome the Olympics and Create a Civilized
City". Her whereabouts are unknown. Yang Shizhong, Director of the Lianglu Police Station: 86-23-67821220 26. [Tianjin] Ms. Xiao Wenxia Became Homeless to Avoid Further Persecution On February 28, 2008, Ms. Xiao Wenxia from Donggaokeng Village, Zuihuangkou
Town, Wuqing District, Tianjin, was reported to the police when she was
distributing truth-clarifying materials. Police from the Zuihuangkou Police
Station arrested her and sent her to the Wuqing District Detention Center. Four
days later, Ms. Xiao's life was in danger. Her family was extorted for 3,000
yuan before she was released. Several days later police from the Cui
Huangkou Police Station went to Xiao Wenxia's home and tried to arrest her
again. She managed to escape and became homeless to avoid persecution. 27. [Lingyuan, Liaoning Province] Dafa Practitioners Gong Juwen and Liu Yuqin
Arrested On July 22, 2008, police from the Domestic Security Division in Lingyuan City
and from the Daoerdeng Police Station arrested Ms. Gong Juwen from Sandaoliangzi
Village, Daoerdeng Town, Lingyuan City when she was clarifying the truth of
Falun Gong in Dongdao Market, in Songlingzi Township on July 22, 2008. Ms. Gong
is currently detained at the Lingyuan Detention Center. Ms. Liu Yuqin from the Badaogou Village, Daoerdeng Town, Lingyuan City, was
arrested at home on July 24, 2008. Beiren, Director of the Daoerdeng Police Station: 86-421-6349004 (O),
86-13470228109 (C) 28. [Tangshan, Hebei] Ms. Zhang Fengying's Home Illegally Ransacked At about 4:00 p.m. on July 27, security guards from the Wujie Community in
Xugezhaung, Fengnan and the local police illegally broke into Ms. Zhang
Fengying's house and made an illegal search. They tried to take her away when
she came back home. Zhang Fengying refused to cooperate with them and they did
not arrest her. 29. [ Guanghan, Sichuan Province] On July 28, Police from Nanxing Town Police
Station Arrested Dafa Practitioners Mr. Zhang Huidong and Ms. Jing Pengxian 30. [Baoding, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Lianshu Arrested On April 23, 2007, officials from the Xiantai Township Government and police
from the local police station harassed Dafa practitioner Ms. Li Lianshu from
Dacihan Village, Xiantai Township, Mancheng County, Boading City. They tried to
arrest her. She was forced to leave home to avoid persecution. At about 1:00 p.m. on July 28, 2008, police from the Xiantai Police Station
and from Baoding City illegally broke into the home of Li Lianshu's daughter at
Jianxing Residential Compound in Baoding City. They arrested her and confiscated

86-312-3089661 (O) 31. [Henan] Ms. Han Yanling Illegally Detained at the Zhengzhou City Second
Detention Center On July 9, 2008, police from the Houzai Police Station of the No. 27 Police
Department arrested Dafa practitioner Ms. Han Yanling from Zhengzhou City. On
July 18, police went to Ms. Han's home and intimidated her eighty-year-old
mother and forced her to put her fingerprint on documents. In the afternoon of
the next day, her family received a notice of Han Yanling's arrest at Zhengzhou
City Second Detention Center from the police station. On July 26, the No27
District People's Procuratorate approved the arrest of Han Yanling. She is
currently detained at the Zhengzhou City Second Detention Center. Zhengzhou City Second Detention Center: 86-371-67982301 32. [Lutian County, Hubei Province] Ms. Li Ping Arrested and Detained at the
Hankou Women's Prison Forty-four-year-old Ms. Li Ping, an employee of the Luotian County
Environmental and Sanitary Station, was persecuted several times for practicing
Falun Gong. From 1999 to 2007, police from the Luotian County Police Department
put her on administrative detention twice and criminal detention twice. They
went to her house to harass her several times. They followed her, tapped her
phone calls and forced her work unit and family members to interfere with her
freedom to practice Falun Gong. In June 2007, Li Ping was arrested for distributing truth-clarifying
materials. She was released on bail later on. On April 22, 2008, the Luotian
County Court sentenced Ms. Li to four years in prison. On July 2, she was
transferred to the Hankou Women's Prison on Baofeng Road, Wuhan City, Hubei
Province. 33. [Shouguang, Shandong] Police Arrest and Extort Money from Dafa
Practitioners At 11:00 p.m. on July 27, police from Shouguang City and from the Gucheng
Police Station made a premeditated arrest of Dafa practitioners. Practitioners
arrested were: Ms. Wang Haifeng and her mother from Shouguang, Mr. Zhao Shiheng
from Gucheng and Ms. Sang Fengying. Zhao Shiheng was detained at the Gucheng
Police Station for the first seven days. He was put in shackles and not allowed
to sleep. He became emaciated due to abuse. He was not released until he was
extorted out of 1,000 yuan seven days later. Dafa Practitioner Mr. Li Kongfa from Zhaojia Village is currently detained at
the Shouguang Detention Center. Zhang Baosen, Director of the Gucheng Police Station: 86-536-5431589 (O),
86-536-5298359 (H), 86-13906366962 (C) 34. [Danyang, Jiangsu Province] Dafa Practitioner Ms. Zhu Xiuying Arrested
Four Days Ago 35. [Dingxing County, Hebei Province] Practitioners Ms. Nie Tianying and Ms.
Zhang Shufang Arrested from Home on July 26 36. [Zhucheng, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Zhaohong Arrested At about 7:00 p.m. on July 27, 2008, police from the Political and Security
Brigade and from Chengguan Police Station knocked down Dafa practitioner Zhang
Zhaohong's door in the name of checking the household register. They ransacked
the house and arrested her. 37. [Liaoning Province] Mr. Xu Zhongqiang Tortured by Police at Masanjia
Forced Labor Camp On July 18, 2008, police from the Third Brigade of the First Section of
Masanjia Forced Labor Camp tried to force Xu Zhongqiang to write the Three
Statements. When Mr. Xu refused to do so, several policemen shocked him
with electric batons until he lost consciousness. 38. [Fucheng County, Hebei Province] On July 28, Police from the Chengguan
Town Police Station Arrested Dafa Practitioner Ms. Zhu Xiuying and Ransacked Her
Home 39. [Tangshan, Hebei Province] Ms. Huo Yuping Forced to Become Homeless to
Avoid Persecution In the evening of July 26, Chang Juncai, Director of the Changzhuang Police
Station in Fengrun District, Tangshan City led some police and broke into
practitioner Ms. Huo Yuping's home at Zhiwu Village, Changzhuang Township. They
tried to arrest her. Under the protection of her family members, she climbed
over the garden wall and managed to leave. Ms. Huo is currently homeless to
avoid further persecution. Changzhuang Township Police Station: 86-315-3228970, 86-315-3229336 40. [Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Xiuxia and Ms. Wang Baozhu Arrested On July 21, Ms. Li Xiuxia and Ms. Wang Baozhu were reported to the police
when they were clarifying the truth. They were arrested and sent to the Dongyuan
Police Station in Yuhua District. Their homes were searched. Li Xiuxia was
sentenced to one year and three months in the Hebei Provincial Women's Forced
Labor Camp. Wang Baozhu continues to be detained at the Dongyuan Police Station. 41. [Jingzhou, Hubei Province] Dafa Practitioner Ms. Li Shuangjiao Arrested
at Kunshan, Jiangsu Province on July 28 42. [Weifang, Shandong Province] Ms. Han Chunai and Mr. Du Xiaodong Arrested In the evening on July 21, practitioners Ms. Han CHunai and Mr. Du Xiaohong
were reported to the police when they were clarifying the truth. Police from the
Beiyuan Police Station arrested them. They are currently detained at the
detention center. Police ransacked their homes but got nothing. 43. [Yichun, Heilongjiang Province] Police Confiscated Property and Documents
Belonging to Mr. Wu Wenfeng On June 5, 2008, police from the Xinjieji Police Station arrested Falun Gong
practitioner Mr. Wu Wenfeng from Youhao District, Yichun City. He has been
released, but his wage card, ID, deposit card, mobile phone, studying machine
and MP3 are still held at the 610 Office and the police station. 44. [Yuyang County, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Junlan, Ms. Rong Xiu and Ms. Xiu
Mei Arrested At about 10:00 a.m. on July 26, 2008, the homes of eighteen Dafa
practitioners in Dagaomen Village, Dongwang Township, Quyang County were
ransacked. All Dafa materials were confiscated. Ms. Yu Qiao and Ms. Cai Zhi were
extorted out of 1,000 yuan cash each. Dafa practitioners Ms. Wang Junlan, Ms.
Rong Xiu and Ms. Xiu Mei were arrested and later detained at the detention
center. Dafa practitioner Mr. Xiao Er was forced to leave home to avoid
persecution. 45. [Deyang, Sichuan Province] Several Practitioners Facing Illegal Trials Dafa practitioner Mr. Chen Ru, a practitioner surnamed Wang detained at the
Shifang City Detention Center, and sixty-nine-year-old practitioner Ms. Wang
Zhongqiong, detained at the Deyang City Detention Center, are facing illegal
trial. 46. [Zhaoyuan, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Yueying and Others Arrested On July 26, 2008 fifty-plus-year-old Ms. Wang Yueying from Diaozhongtou
Village, Jinling County, Zhaoyuan City, was arrested when she was clarifying the
truth at Gaozhuanglingmiao. She was sent to the Lingnan Gold Mine Brainwashing
Center where she was persecuted. In 2001, Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhang Mingcai and Ms. Hou Chunyun (both in
their fifties) became homeless to avoid persecution. They went to Zhuhai to make
a living. On July 28, 2008, four perpetrators from Zhaoyuan came to Zhuhai and
arrested the two practitioners. 47. [Dalian, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Lijuan Arrested and Sent to
Brainwashing Center At about 8:00 a.m. on July 23, 2008, policeman Xia Mingxue and other officers
from the Xinhua Police Station at Zhuanghe, Dalian City came to Baoshan Garment
Co. Ltd. in Dalian. They twisted Ms. Zhang Lijuan's arms behind her back and
pushed her into a police car. In the afternoon Zhang Lijuan was sent to the

Years in Forced Labor Camp Practitioner Ms. Li Baoru was sentenced to three years in a forced labor camp
by the Dongling District Court. She is currently detained at the Zhaohua
Detention Center in Shenyang City. 49. [Dangdong, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zheng Yi and Ms. Jiang Shufeng Arrested
