Communist Officials from Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, Pressured Chen Rungui into Helping Persecute His Own Son

(Clearwisdom.net) On July 23, 2008, at around 8:30 a.m., Falun Gong practitioner Chen Maohua in Zengcheng, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, stepped out of his home. Immediately, seven or eight people who had waited outside for hours surrounded him and pushed him into a small vehicle. During the incident Mr. Chen shouted, "Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good! Persecuting good people is a crime!"

Mr. Chen's wife and son rushed outside together. His five-year-old son witnessed the whole process of his father's arrest.

The police detained Chen Maohua at the Guangzhou Legal System Education School (actually a brainwashing center). The staff there initially tried their best to deceive him and pretended to be nice.

Chen Rungui is Mr. Chen Maohua's father. He once read some Falun Gong books and benefited from the reading. Various illnesses vanished without treatment. However, under government pressure and deceived by the lies of the brainwashing center staff, he now cooperates with them and is helping to persecute his own son. He has sent letters and made phone calls to the brainwashing center and to his son. He has attempted to force Chen Maohua to give up his belief. Chen Rungui also slandered Master and threatened and cursed other relatives who had righteous thoughts.

A few days ago, a woman surnamed Zhou called Chen Rungui and told him that if his son refused to cooperate, they wouldn't release him. Since that moment, Chen Maohua has no longer been permitted to have family visits or receive phone calls. The persecution of Chen Maohua continues to escalate.
