Mr. Huang Wei and His Wife Arrested Again due to Pre-Olympic Mass Arrests of Falun Gong Practitioners in Shijiazhuang City

(Clearwisdom.net) On July 4, 2008, at 7 a.m., Mr. Huang Wei went out and was arrested by plainclothes police from the Hedong Police Station in Changan District, Shijiazhuang City. These officers watched and monitored him 24 hours a day. Six or seven policemen broke down his door and searched the house. They even searched his child's school bag. All they found was one pamphlet called "The Declaration of the Interim Government" and nothing else. They took away his wife Hao Qiuyan while she was still in her pajamas. They left the house in a dreadful mess. The floor was covered in paint which Ms. Hao Qiuyan was using for her artwork. Afterwards they went to search Huang Wei's office and took away a computer, and arrested a female staff member there who also practices Falun Dafa. Bystanders witnessed the violence of the police.

After the arrest of Huang Wei and his wife, the parents from both families went to Hedong Police Station to give them some clothes. The police told them to come back the next day. The parents went again but were told that the couple were transferred somewhere else. The parents became extremely worried and didn't know where to go next.

With no parents to take care of him, their eight-year-old son had nowhere to go but to his grandparents' home. His grandfather, 79, suffers from diabetes and his grandmother, 77, suffers from heart disease.

The police stated that Ms. Hao Qiuyan was very "active"and went to mobilize people everywhere. She had left her job so that she could pick up her son from school. She stayed home all day doing her painting and rarely went out. Mr. Huang Wei had just started a pharmaceutical company. Due to the coming Olympic Games, the couple was arrested and detained for their belief in Truthfulness- Compassion-Forbearance.

On July 9, 2008, the family asked the well-known lawyer Gao Zhisheng to be their defense lawyer. Director Cui of the Shijiazhuang City Detention Center refused to allow the lawyer to meet with his clients and told him to visit the unit who initially arrested them. Director Su of the Hedong Police Station asked the lawyer to meet him at 8:30 a.m. the next day. The lawyer came on time but Su was at a meeting and wouldn't see him. By then the couple had been detained for ten days and their family didn't receive any legal notice.

Information said that on July 4, 2008, all the police in Shijiazhuang City took action at the same time to arrest Dafa practitioners according to a "blacklist". This was the first round. With the Olympics coming nearer, there would be a second round and a third round, etc.

Practitioner Huang Wei, 39 years old, from Shijiazhuang City was a sales representative of Hebei Pharmaceutical and Biological Engineering Co. Ltd. He was well-liked in his family, neighborhood and work unit for his enthusiasm, easy-going nature and helpfulness. His wife Hao Qiuyan, 36 years old, graduated from Hebei Light and Chemical Industry College, where she majored in fashion design. Hao Qiuyan said that Huang Wei started to practice Falun Dafa in 1995. He benefited a lot from the practice and gradually broke free of many bad habits such as smoking, drinking, gambling and a very bad temper. The whole family lived in peace and harmony. But he was sentenced to 3 years in a forced labor camp for the crime of "unsuccessful appeal."

At the end of 2002, Huang Wei was released. By the end of 2003 with the help of his friends, Huang Wei set up a business dealing in exported garments and medicine. He asked several unemployed fellow practitioners to join him. On April 13, 2004, while he was taking his five-year-old son to kindergarten, policeman Yang Yuliang from the Hedong Police Station and Li Guoqiang from Changan Police Department together with two other policemen arrested him without showing any legal documents. He was again sentenced to three years in a forced labor camp for refusing to give up Falun Dafa. His wife was arrested and detained in Hebei Provincial Brainwashing Center for eight months for her part in employing a lawyer for her husband.

With the help of lawyer Gao Zhisheng and many overseas practitioners, Huang Wei and his wife were released on bail for medical treatment in April 2005. Their bodies were covered in bruises. With the help of their family and friends, their life and business started to get better again.

On July 4, 2008, due to the Olympics coming closer, police throughout the whole city of Shijiazhuang arrested practitioners. Huang Wei and his wife were also arrested. They are currently detained at the detention center in Shijiazhuang City. The police did not inform the couple's family of their whereabouts. The family was not allowed to see the couple or send any clothes to them. The police are considering sending the couple to forced labor camps.

To "protect the Olympics", the CCP resorts to any means and demonstrates their last-ditch madness. The Police Department in Shijiazhuang City had meetings and gave orders to local police to search practitioners' homes one by one and arrest those whose home had even a single piece of paper of Falun Dafa materials.
