Mr. Fan Yusheng from Shuangcheng City Suffers Abuse (Heilongjiang Province)

Mr. Fan Yusheng, is a 56-year-old farmer from Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province. He had been detained in Hulan Prison for three years. He was released on May 12, 2008.

Mr. Fan lives in Shancheng Township. He once developed many diseases. In 1997, he began to practice Falun Gong. As a result, all his stubborn diseases went away without treatment. Since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) launched the persecution of Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, he went to Beijing twice to appeal for the practice. Consequently, he was detained by Zhang Guofu and Jin Wanzhi (female), police agents from Shaungcheng City.

On the evening of May 12, 2005, when he was hanging banners to expose the persecution of Falun Gong, he was arrested by six police agents from Hongqi Township Police Station. After four months, he was sentenced to 3 years of imprisonment.

On September 14, 2005, he was taken to Hulan City Prison in Heilongjiang Province. Nine months later, he was transferred to No. 12 Team. His family suffered enormous agony.
