Mr. Lu Shejiao from Ruzhou City, Henan Province Sentenced to Prison

Cheng Jianyang and Zhao Jianxing from the Ruzhou City Domestic Security Division in Henan Province broke into Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Lu Shejiao's home in Zhibei Village, Zhifang Township, Ruzhou City at 11:20 am on February 18, 2008. They arrested Lu Shejiao and took him to the Ruzhou City Police Department and sent him to the Ruzhou City Detention Center at 4:30 pm on the same day.

They held a trial on May 8, 2008 without telling Lu Shejiao's family. A second trial was held on June 17 and June 18, 2008, and the family was again left in the dark. The judge pronounced an 18-month prison sentence. Only after considerable time had passed was the family made aware of it.

Nine officials harassed Lu Shejiao's family at his home on June 24, 2008. They were: Cheng Jianyang and Ma Zhanguang from the Ruzhou City Police Department Domestic Security Division, Xue Shunci and Jiao Xingjie from the 610 Office, Jin Hongxin, Zhifang Township Police Station's deputy head in Ruzhou City and Wang Tan from the same police station. They transferred Lu to the Zhengzhou Prison in Mi County on July 2, 2008, without notifying any of his family.
