Chang specializes in ballet and ethnic dances. She has been teaching for a long time. She was amazed by Shen Yun's choreographer. "The Spectacular depicts people and stories from China's history, such as the poet Li Bai and characters from Journey to the West in its performances and can help non-Chinese to understand the diversity of Chinese culture. I am especially impressed with the Tibetan ethnic dance. It presented the vigor and masculinity of the Tibetan men very well."

Being a Buddhist, Ms. Chang said she was thrilled and speechless when she saw Buddhas and Bodhisattvas coming down from heaven. She was impressed with the technology that combines the animation on the backdrops with the actual dancers in the stage performance. The pieces, "The Five Millennia Begins" and, "Knowing the True Picture Offers Ultimate Hope" made Chang feel excited and moved. "I am just glad to be able to be here," she said.

Being a pioneer of Taiwan's modern theater performing arts, Cho believes that Shen Yun's performance can wake up the younger generation. "People now have forgotten what it's like to have Chinese style and characteristics. Watching the whole show calms me like a spring breeze. It's a cleansing process for the soul."

The dance, "The Miraculous Exhibit" conveys the spirit of Truth, Compassion, Tolerance that Falun Gong practitioners follow. It made Cho think."The economic crisis has made the society unstable. This story, which tells about how a person suffers and then turns his suffering into generous love to save more people, will help to heal people's suffering hearts."

Cho talked about how watching the Spectacular helped him with his own work. "I will pay more attention to using animation to create magical effects, a technique which connects with the audiences much easier."
