(Clearwisdom.net) On April 1, 2009, four elderly female practitioners were in a Fa study group at Mr. Zhang Youqing's house in Fengshun City, Guangdong Province. At around 3:00 p.m., a dozen or so police officers, led by the head of Fengshun County 610 Office Xu Mingjun and the former Political and Security Group leader Cao Xiaodong, rushed into Mr. Zhang's home. They arrested the five practitioners, and seized a photo of Teacher Li, Dafa books and Falun Gong truth-clarification materials.

When the practitioners protested, one officer in charge yelled, "Handcuff them and drag them away if they don't come." An electrician who was fixing the circuit in Mr. Zhang's house was also forced to go with them. Officer Xu Mingjun verbally abused Mr. Zhang.

After taking the practitioners to the police station, the officers interrogated each of the practitioners separately. Officer Cao Xiaodong slammed the table and yelled at the practitioners. He said that they were evil, and that he was nice. Practitioners told him the facts of Falun Gong and about the principle of karmic retribution. He said that he was not afraid of being punished. Then Cao Xiaodong and another officer gave Mr. Zhang a glass of water. Mr. Zhang felt that his throat had a dry and burning sensation when he drank the water. He drank about six or seven cups of tea afterwards. Then he had a strong urge to urinate and have a bowel movement but could not do it.

That night, Mr. Zhang could not eat anything. He visited the restroom constantly. At 9:30 p.m., the four female practitioners were released. At around 10:00 p.m., the police announced that they would detain Mr. Zhang for ten days.

For the next two days, Mr. Zhang had vision and memory losses and was confused at times. On the morning of April 4, he still could not urinate or have a bowel movement. He discharged blood when he tried to defecate. He reported it to the officer on duty but did not get a response.

He felt extreme pain at noontime. It was not until 3:00 p.m. when he was finally allowed to be taken to the hospital by his son. The doctor found that Mr. Zhang had stones in both kidneys and his urinary tract was blocked. However, Mr. Zhang had not reported the blood in his stool and the difficulty in making a bowel movement. The police still refused to let Mr. Zhang go.

Mr. Zhang was released and went home on May 5. He continues to discharge blood during the night and there has not been any bowel movement. He reports having belly pain, feeling pressure, and having difficulty urinating. He suspects that the police poisoned him when they gave him the water to drink.
