A Young Falun Gong Practitioner Remembers
By Gu Yue
(Clearwisdom.net) I used to be an everyday worker at the mailing group of
the Xian Medical Book Store. It was very hot work during the peak years of the
national qigong furor of the 1990s. There were many money orders coming in from
all over China every day. In 1993, China Falun Gong was published. This book, especially the
later revised version, sold very quickly. Soon Zhuan Falun
was also published, and there were money orders from all over the county coming
in every day. The book was soon out of stock. Without any choice, we sold many
of the pirated versions of Zhuan Falun. Later, Zhuan Falun (Volume 2)
as well as other books were also published. At the end of 1995, I received a letter sent from one of the southern
universities. The student wrote a detailed letter, included along with a money
order for 70 yuan. After I read the letter, I knew what had
happened. The student had read Zhuan Falun and felt that it was very
good. However there were no more video or audio versions at the local store. He
had gotten the information from the magazine that we had in our store. The audio
version of Master Li's Lecture at Jinan in 1994 was available for mail
order so he sent the 80 yuan labeled on the price list but received the China
Falun Gong video published in 1993 instead. The student felt very uneasy and
found that this video was marked 150 yuan from the catalog and he immediately
mailed another 70 yuan along with a detailed letter. What impressed me the most
was the sincerity of his letter. I found that the student was not the type of
person who normally spent much money. He did not make another purchase of the Lecture
in Jinan audio right away. Perhaps it was because he had overspent his money
for that month. The story of that student deeply impressed me. As workers who used to work at a large bookstore, my coworkers and I knew
that Falun Dafa was a true, highly virtuous Dafa and were never confused despite
all kinds of slander and propaganda put out by the Chinese Communist Party
through the years. Also, through my work experience and deep connection with
Chinese traditional culture, I had cleary seen the Chinese Communist Party's
true, evil face. In order to maintain its power, the CCP has followed a policy
of eliminating the essentials of traditional culture. Today the evil Party's
monstrous reign is almost at its end, and it has lost its power. The future
belongs to the new Chinese people that are open and aboveboard.
