Dafa Changes A Drug Addict

(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Liu Shehong, a 41-year-old former employee of the Wuchang Lumber Mill of Wuchang City Lumber Company, used to be a drug addict. He used various methods to get money for drugs, and consequently had a bad reputation. Neighbors and others avoided him.

At the end of 2006, Mr. Liu learned Falun Dafa. Four months after he began practicing, he completely stopped using drugs and became healthy. He is now considerate of others, respects the elderly, cares for young children, and helps his family with housework. People who know him are all impressed by his positive changes.

On the afternoon of May 4, 2008, Mr. Liu and his nephew, Mr. Liu Jinhua, posted a truth clarification message in the Jiangxia District in Wuhan City. Police from the Jiangxia Branch Public Security Bureau arrested the two and subsequently ransacked their home. Officials of the Wuhan City Public Security Bureau took them to the Hewan Forced Labor Camp. When friends and neighbors heard the news, they appealed to the public security bureau by signing a statement that described how Mr. Liu had changed from a drug addict to a healthy and good person after practicing Falun Gong. In the forced labor camp, some inmates who knew Mr. Liu before all said, "Falun Gong is miraculous. In the past, Brother Liu's eyes were full of hatred and anger, but now he looks so kind and compassionate--totally unexpected."

At the forced labor camp, Mr. Liu used every possible opportunity to talk with people about withdrawing from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations. An inmate told other detained practitioners, "You all talked about withdrawing from the CCP and its affiliated organizations, but none of you is more devoted than brother Liu. He talks with people about this no matter where he meets you--on the stairs, the hallway, even the bathroom. He always asks whether you have already withdrawn from the CCP, then reminds people to memorize the words, 'Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.'" Many inmates withdrew from the CCP and its affiliated organizations due to Mr. Liu's efforts.
