Partial Account of the Persecution of Mr. Lu Zhen Before His Death

(Clearwisdom.net) Practitioner Mr. Lu Zhen of Mengyin County, Shandong Province, died due to persecution in the First Prison of Shandong Province on June 22, 2009. Early on the morning of June 22, 2009, his family was told that he died from a heart attack. His body is stored at the Shandong University Medical School Hospital. It was reported that his neck and hips were covered with bruises.

Lu Zheng, born on July 25, 1976, was from Xirulai Village, Mengyin Township, Mengyin County, Shandong Province. He was an excellent international finance student at Chongqing University, where he first learned of Dafa. Since beginning the practice, he strictly followed the principles "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance."

Mr. Lu had excellent health, and no one in his family had any history of heart disease. Not long ago, the 610 Office in Linyi, Mengyin spread the rumor that he was insane. His family was not notified of anything until the day they were told that he had died. Mr. Lu had been seriously persecuted in Shandong Prison. Judging from the information exposed by the Clearwisdom website and the way that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) persecutes Falun Gong practitioners, the possibility that he might have died as a result of electric baton shocks or psychiatric drug injections cannot be ruled out.

In May 2000, as a college senior, Mr. Lu was expelled from college because he went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. Then again in June, he went to Beijing and was arrested and taken to Xishanping Forced Labor Camp in Chongqing City, to serve a one-year sentence. In the forced labor camp, he was brutally tortured, leaving deep scars on his head and arms.

After the forced labor camp released Mr. Lu, the college sent him back to Mengyin County. They moved his residency out of Chongqing City. But the CCP agents in Mengyin County refused to accept him, so he lost his official residency.

His life was not peaceful after his return. The local "610 Office" directed the village to call his name on the speaker every day and urged the villagers to not have any contact with him. His family felt great pressure, and he was forced to leave home.

In March 2004, Mr. Lu was arrested, together with Mr. and Mrs. Xue Yujun, at Zhaoyu in Mengyin Township, Mengyin County, and sent to the Mengyin Prison. He was taken to the Linyi City Brainwashing Center in April and moved back to Mengyin County Prison afterward. In December 2004, he was sentenced by the Mengyin County Court to eleven years and sent to Shandong Prison.

Mr. Lu was constantly tortured during his detention in Shandong Prison, and was eventually tortured to death, at the age of 33.

We strongly urge people to investigate the cause of Mr. Lu's death, punish the murderer and stop the persecution.
