On May 19th and 20th, Seattle area practitioners held a successful two-day hongfa activity during the annual University District Street Fair, our first time to participate in this event.

We had reserved one booth, which had become available at the last minute. The booth was decorated nicely and stood out from the surrounding non-profit organization booths. Practitioners showed the videos, displayed photos of persecuted and murdered Falun Dafa practitioners in China, handed out flyers and other truth-clarifying materials and answered many questions of attendees at the fair. One of the practitioners loaned us his huge battery equipment for showing the videos, since there was no power supply. Our booth had at least 10 visitors at all times, sometimes as many as 15. Several people wanted to know locations for learning the exercises. Several people commented on the persecution in China and mentioned that they had heard about the suffering on the radio or had seen stories in the press. Some even promised to contact legislators to help stop this horrid persecution.

The fair organizers praised our orderly conduct and pleasant manners, as well as the cleanliness of the area around out booth. Space was limited, so only a couple of practitioners were able to demonstrate the exercises on the first day.

The second day, the occupants of the adjoining booth did not arrive. The fair organizers let us use this booth for free. We demonstrated the exercises to more people. We also had available a few copies of the new translation of Master Li's Falun Gong (Fair Winds Press) which attracted a lot of attention. Even the weather cooperated on the second day after a drizzly first day, the sun came out and it warmed everyone. Our first hongfa at this fair was a big success, which we hope to repeat next year.
