[Clearwisdom.net] "The Journey of Falun Dafa -- A Return to Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance" photo exhibition held its opening reception today at Gallery Stendhal in New York City. This is the first large-scale public photo exhibition in the United States documenting the development of Falun Dafa (Falun Gong) over the past nine years.
About 150 photos are being displayed at the photo exhibition. These photos have documented Falun Dafa's humble beginnings in 1992, when it was first introduced to the public in China by it's founder, Mr. Li Hongzhi. The exhibition shows how people from all walks of life began to find better health and spiritual well being through this practice, which, very quickly flourished, not only in China, but also in more than 40 countries around the world. The photographs capture the brutality of the campaign that certain members of the totalitarian Chinese regime have used to defame and destroy the practice after July 20, 1999 and also how Falun Dafa practitioners in China have displayed uncommon courage and inner strength to continue to withstand this onslaught peacefully and nonviolently.
Over one hundred guests attended the opening reception this evening at Gallery Stendhal in the Soho district in New York City. Everyone was amazed by the wondrous journey of Falun Dafa documented in these photos. Some of the guests immediately showed interest in learning the Falun Dafa practice.

The photo exhibition will take place from May 3-21 at Gallery Stendhal, 386 West Broadway in New York City, Tuesday to Saturday 11am 6pm.
