(Clearwisdom Net) In November of 2000, eight Dafa practitioners in Qionglai City, Ye Zhanfen, Zeng Yuqing, Hu Hui, Qi Damei, Li Guochun, Su Youzhen, Zhang Wanfen, Lan Huazhen, were arrested while they were copying and distributing literature that reveals Jiang Zemin's brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. Their homes were ransacked and many of their possessions were confiscated.
During the detention period, policemen Wang Jin, Qiu Guilong and Xie Yang led the torture of the practitioners, trying to force them to give up their beliefs in Falun Dafa. The policemen shocked the practitioners with electric batons, slapped and punched their faces, kicked them, and rammed their heads into the wall. Shamelessly, the policemen said, "The higher officials have said that it's nothing if we beat you to death." Ye Zhanfen, Hu Hui, and Li Guochun suffered a great deal from the electric shocks, with blisters and welts covering their bodies. Blood and pus soaked their clothing and stuck to their skin. Their chests and sides were so painful that it was hard for them to breathe. They could only lie on the floor motionlessly. The policeman Qiu Guilong repeatedly kicked, punched and slapped Su Youshen's face. Her eyes were swollen shut, and her head was covered with bruises. The pain in her head caused her to feel disoriented constantly. The goal of this torture was to force the practitioners to write or sign documents saying that they renounce Falun Gong.
On June 5, 2001, the People's Court of Qionglai City sentenced to prison four of the Dafa practitioners, who had already been illegally detained for seven months. They sentenced Ye Zhanfen to 5 years imprisonment, Zeng Yuqing to 4 years, Hu Hui to 3 and a half years, and Qi Dahai to 2 years with a 5,000 Yuan RMB fine. (The average monthly income of an urban worker is 500 Yuan.) In the courtroom, these four Dafa practitioners gave moving testimonies about the torture, suffering and injustice that they endured at the hands of Jiang Zemin's followers. The court accused the practitioners of giving testimonies inconsistent with their affidavits and arbitrarily added half a year to a year to each of their sentences.
Meanwhile, the universal principle of "good is rewarded with good and evil is met with evil" still holds true. The secretary of the Yiju residential committee, Wang Yanping, in Linqiong Township of Qionglai City actively persecuted Falun Gong practitioners and was often praised for her "work." In the fall of 2000, she was seriously injured in a car accident on the way back from vacation and spent two days in a coma. In May of 2001, she suddenly died in her bathtub.
To those who are being used as tools by Jiang Zemin, stop doing his dirty deeds against your own conscience. You should learn from what happened to Wang Yanping.
