Hello respectable Master and hello fellow practitioners.
I am Wu Song, a practitioner from Germany. I obtained the Fa in September 1998 and have been cultivating for nearly 3 years. I would like to share with you my experience of having righteous thoughts after Master recently taught us how to use and send forth righteous thoughts.
Since the April 25th appeal at Zhongnanhai and the very beginning of the evil persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners in China, I held a somewhat passive attitude towards facing the evil. I thought, "Why couldn't practitioners in China just forbear it?" I didn't have a clear understanding of what it meant to rectify the Fa and protect the Fa. As the persecution continually worsened and I learned more about it's true cause, I gradually understood more about what Fa-rectification really meant. However, I was still very passive in the face of the vicious and comprehensive persecution. I often guessed when the persecution would end and relied on Master's compassion to end it. I didn't realize that by forbearing the persecution passively, I was actually silently accepting it.
Such passivity has been engrained into man's bones generation after generation, with a multitude of reasons. Perhaps man has suffered too much from various persecutions in history, unwilling to take a righteous step forward to stop it anymore. Perhaps man has experienced so much persecution in history that he has become numbed and unconcerned about it today. Perhaps man has never given a clear thought to the fact that such a kind of persecution should simply not exist! Warped notions have made the rotten high-level beings think that the persecution of gods in history was justified, while our own warped notions have made us silently give consent to, and accept all of these evil arrangements.
But today our Master has made the universal Dafa public to mankind! Under the purest light of the Dafa of the universe, all evil, warped notions, and distorted thinking that have been deeply engrained and hidden in beings over the countless ages, will be exposed completely. "All of these impure things have to be eliminated - completely eliminated!" (Master Li's lecture at the Great Lakes Conference.)
One day I saw a painting of Jesus being persecuted 2000 years ago. He was being beaten and mocked by the Roman soldiers. When I looked at him, I was suddenly struck with extreme grief. I realized that the people at that time were also silently accepting the persecution arranged by the warped high-level beings. Then I suddenly had the strong righteous thought, "No such degeneration will be allowed to reappear in history!"
I enlightened to the fact that as soon as we realize the warped notions and deviation of those rotten high-level beings and ourselves, we have truly begun to shake off their distorted arrangements and suffocate the evil persecution. If we were to never do this and were to continue to passively and pessimistically forbear without eliminating our warped thoughts, we would be forever under their persecution, no matter how much we suffered. The great compassion and forbearance we demonstrate when we suffer can move the lives that still have human nature and righteous thoughts. But we can never allow, "the limitless giving of free rein, which enables those evil beings who no longer have any human nature or righteous thoughts to do evil without limit." Those warped beings have begun to play their old games once again. But this time they wanted to use their warped notions to carry out a damaging "test" of the fundamental Dafa of the universe! They thought that they could do this shamelessly. They thought that our Dafa disciples would forbear their persecution passively the same way others in history did. They thought Dafa had to undergo such a "test" by them. But they were wrong! They didn't know that our Dafa disciples all came here to assist the Master with Fa-rectification! They didn't know that as soon as we were free of the control of their evil notions, we would eliminate them along with all other evils.
Gods' anger is not human beings' anger. We are eliminating evils. We do not fight for personal interests as human beings do. Master says, "It is bad, it is venomous, and it is evil. And just like poison, if you want it not to poison people it can't do that - that's just how it is. So in the process of eliminating it don't be lenient at all - just eliminate it!" (Lecture at the 2001 Dafa Conference in Canada.) Master also told us in his Speech at the Western US Conference"...real Buddhas are guardians of the cosmos and are responsible for all righteous elements in the cosmos." We are now beginning to take our responsibilities.
When eliminating evils, we don't need the material and mental preparation like everyday people do. We only need our powerful righteous thoughts. Gods' compassion and powerful capabilities go hand in hand.
We are no longer attached to our own consummation, we are no longer worried about being left behind, and we no longer cling to our attachments when we partake in Hongfa activities and eliminating the evil. We have done what we should, and none of it has come out of personal gain and self-interest. In the course of fulfilling our mission we are also constantly improving ourselves and elevating to our own most original and highest positions.
I was greatly astonished to see how my righteous thoughts became stronger every time I joined a Hongfa activity. From this, I realized that Master has made a perfect arrangement for everything. On one hand, we are involved in Fa-rectification, revealing the truth, and exposing the evil. On the other hand, we are rapidly improving ourselves in the process. We have changed from the passive forbearance of the early days to the steadfast righteous thoughts of today, from understanding the Fa perceptually to understanding it rationally, and from the attachment to personal consummation to the realm of selflessness and being completely free of selfish motives. We are all Dafa particles, and we are all doing what we should do. If everyone of us "....can understand the Fa from the bottom of our hearts, that will truly be the manifestation of the Fa whose power knows no boundary -- the reappearance of the mighty Buddha Fa in the human world!"
